Martin Solveig - « +1 » (feat. Sam White) [Blonde remix]

Strohm is the solo project by the young musician from Zurich, with which he is experimenting into different directions within electronic music. Strohm often gets inspired by field recordings or starts with raw live jams to use them as a basis for some sound design. His tracks are typically a little rough and include somewhat disturbing elements.
Schemes builds on a 3/4 industrial driven beat that Strohm wrote over a year ago. Just recently he revisited the idea and in a few sessions added the vocals to it, which center on the theme of shaping relationships rather than letting them evolve naturally. His friend came up with some synth pads and arpeggios, which helped to complete the track. 
Schemes is part of a compilation of the Futur8000 collective, which is based in Zurich and aims to unite young up-and-coming artists and producers from Switzerland and around the world by offering them a platform. On the compilation many different genres come together. Schemes represents the more raw, EBM and industrial inspired side of electronic music.
In June Strohm will appear on the first compilation by Zurich collective "Fagdom" (https://soundcloud.com/fagdom) with a happy and slightly crazy rave-tune. Stay tuned!!

Birds or Katie Wilkinson is relatively new as a producer but has been DJ-ing and playing in bands for the last nine years, marinating herself in interesting underground music. Birds is a declaration of love to electronic music and psychedelia. Birds’ music is powerful and monotonous and she creates a dirty, warm and monumental soundscape.

Napoli based duo Outtake take controls of new release on wonderful Night Noise Music imprint who doesnt stop in search of new talents and amazing charity work. For this release Outtake present two original mixes and remix from Mexican warrior Alex Aguayo.
Our choice was Monsterotico where they've kept the reverse noises that punctuate this wavy mix and rebuilt it into a kick of acid laden beast of a builder which for the first minute or so, one might be mistaken in thinking it is not going to break into a heavy noisy techno track but they did it. Peak time atomic bomb. Get in.

With this new EP Trinity Sacha Ketterlin reveals his techno background. The music materializes fine sense for hypnotic synth lines and grounding basses, recorded from unique modular system the EP represents the essence of his trademark sound.
The three tracks on this EP originate from one of Sacha Ketterlin's live sets and transport the raw power of techno with its ability to turn any club into a temple of sound.
Trinity is related to the number Three as found in classic Detroit chords, which typically consist of three notes. Ever since these chords were used in electronic music, they represented the underground techno scene. Sacha Ketterlin now gives his own interpretation. A wider range of sounds can be found in the track Temple, which takes you on a meditative techno journey with a few vocal and singing bowl recordings.

After two compilation tapes released on Dec. 2019 & July 2020, Lyon based Bamboo Shows imprint announced next release, due for Dec. 2020, with a special limited-edition vinyl format to celebrate the label’s first anniversary.
Through “Darkos LP”, Lyon-talent Jonquera (also known as The Pilotwings, his collaborative project alongside Eiger Drums Propaganda & Lastrack) offers an incredible 45-minute 14-track album thanks to it's captivating atmosphere and an impeccable technique.
Produced in one week only, the project between medieval dark-ambient, HD sound-design and esoteric illbient takes inspiration from Noise Music and Doom to introduce alternately a gloomy, epic or spiritual atmosphere.
A surprising album narrating a feudal struggle between a heretic woman and a priest in the small town of Charlieu, France. A metaphoric way to highlight the duality of the project, always oscillating between medieval darkness and contemporary techniques of electronic music production. An occult thematic that we also find in the album artworks, painted by Toulouse-based Artist Alison Flora with her own blood.

For its fourth release, French label Bella Ursa Recordings introduces you to its ‘Ursa Scindo’ split series. A simple concept exists at its center: drawing power from duality, two like-minded and complementary artists provide a single track each and then proceed to remix each other out. It will not only be released digitally, but also on a single tape with two slightly different designs.
Our pick up here was remix by label honcho Leatherique, who enjoys twisting around Desmostylia with its own brand of spooky cinematic techno. Slowing it down and giving it a shamanic vibe, the track builds anticipation slowly, throwing an incantation on each breakdown and only being disturbed from time to time by a few unsettling bass notes lurking around in the background, like a predator stalking its prey. In the last part it then pounces from out of the shadows, revealing its true Lovecraftian form. It takes the listener completely by surprise and shifts the pace up into second gear.

The Magnus Asberg's Remix jumps on a percussion groove train with a perfect double acid line driving it all the way down to dirty house central. Broken synth sounds on overdrive and expertly produced little bleeps and glitches throughout the track completes the journey.

Emika & Paul Frick collaborate and make magical music from synths that play themselves (Emika) and extended piano layers (Paul Frick).  Emika began her explorations with programming synths to play on their own earlier in 2020 and released an album of these solo pieces (Chaos Star).  Very much into the flow of synths playing in her studio all day long while she played with her daughter and drank endless cups of coffee, she decided to capture some midi files and send them over to Paul.  A match made in heaven, Paul began to record his signature edgy piano layers, bringing glitchy rhythms and bass tones to the mix.  The fact that Paul recently started to work with the Versio Duo glockenspiel robot, manifested as well on the record: metal, felt, mechanical spin-offs.
Their music feels like rainbow drops, raining colour, light bouncing from crystal gemstones.  Reminiscent of Erik Satie, Laruie Anderson, with a melodic glitchy nod to Aphex Twin.  The music is deeply rewarding for the spirit, softly tickling our imaginations, caressing new ideas into fruition.  It’s a great record to both wake up to and reflect under the moonlight.  They have both been around long enough to know precisely what music with meaning feels like and exactly what to avoid.  Their direct no bullshit approach to music production and the music biz, puts their creativity into a powerful position, they are original and this is music that channels some seriously beautiful light.
CNCPT is a highly talented drummer in the acoustic world and he brings all of this knowledge over when it comes to building Techno and working electronically.  His reworks of the pieces made by Emika & Paul Frick bring their ambient rhythms into strong beat driven tracks that bring depth and mystery into the mix.  CNCPT brings the Berlin experimental Techno vibes, adding even more unusual night-time synth patterns into the originals, turning them into what they perhaps should have always been (if Emika & Paul Frick weren’t so in love with sound art and less concerned with club music).  A perfect match.  A very satisfying A & B realisation.
