Following on from the last release Nabil Hayat returns with another EP titled Wave Shaping. This sees his approach to 4 new tracks that are slightly more edgier and incorporates a darker harder sound.

On point with the concept of this EP up first is the self titled track Wave Shaping which is deep, bass heavy and rich in texture with swirling sounds that move throughout the track. Short sharp percussion oscillates through untill the main melody enters and settles.
Followed by Mod which is an enchanting hypnotic late night groover that gets deep as the track progresses. With its loose drum programmed distorted kick drums, flanger based toms and resonated frequencies are sure to get you in the mood. Def is spirited towards peak time and sees the track rise and float through the early hours of the morning. With its high pitched modulated synths that morph along with the bell stab and metallic hi hats typical of any techno track. Lastly there is Static which incorporates pulsating basses a classic 909 drum machine workout which builds through with just the right kind of elements until the break down half way then takes the track and moves towards more centre focussed until it all opens up and again for a final time with elements blending out taking things to a close.

Christoph Maier and Markus Reisinger are the masterminds behind the duo So.undso. Along with Munich-based producer Jorginho Joao, they finally decided to have a label to call their own: Launched in 2020, the interesting Dance Petrol Records is a safe space for up & coming artists from all over the world. Focusing on House Music and its many sub-genres, the outlet brings to life its sixteenth EP – the first of the year (it was about time) – featuring four exquisite originals made with love, expertise, and creativity by the duet bosses themselves.

Inspired by their latest interactions with Breakbeat, Electronica, Acid, Electro, and House, the “Alte Spuren” EP, coming soon on their DPR, brings Christoph & Markus competently and expertly expressing their craft through an eclectic and flush tapestry of sonorities.

Premiered here, "Stromabwärts" is an enticing cut with pulsing basslines, haunting vocals, and intricate percussion, elements that create a dark and brooding atmosphere, highly frenzied, though, spiked with broken rhythms.

Bohemian Disco is the exciting new label from UK producer and DJ, Jason Herd, who has a brilliant set of releases forthcoming throughout 2023 spanning the Soulful, Disco, Funky and peak time House music spectrums, featuring collabs with some of the best names in the biz. The label’s first release sees Jason team up with the iconic ‘Queen Of House’, Barbara Tucker, on the fantastically uplifting Disco stomper ‘Head Up High’, which features a high octane vocal from Barbara, along with full live strings and instrumentation. The package also features a remix from one of the Subliminal masters, Harry Romero, who cooks up a slamming dub, along with a full vocal remix coming soon. Jason also delivers one of his peak time Fat Arse dubs, featuring playfully chopped up vocals, a distorted Tom bassline and lo-fi piano’s, ripe for the late night party.
Barbara Tucker has been a major part of the global house community for over 37 years, releasing anthemic hits such as ‘Beautiful People’, ‘I Get Lifted’, ‘Stay Together’, ‘Jazz It Up’, ‘Stop Playing with My Mind’, ‘Most Precious Love’, ‘Respect’ and many others. Midnight Savari returns with his third release on Jakarta's Akamady Records, run by KOMODO @komodo-jkt. The EP starts off with Strange Coincidences, a deep space arpeggiated disco tune, a nod to disco heads out there. Best served eyes-closed, heart-open, and feet ready to dance your troubles away. Psychic Tower, an alchemical endeavor to convert symbols and lines from the ancient "I Ching" into a corresponding musical theme. The track introduces the transcendental Sundanese "karinding" jaw-harp intermingled with a classic acid line. Lastly, Zoo Keeper is a 105-bpm swung oldschool hip-hop beat with trippy breaks, rolling basslines, imaginary zoo animals, more karinding, and topped with some tripped-out vocals from your local zoo guide.
