For his first solo EP, Tushen Raï designed a record in the form of a colorful patchwork of sounds, a meticulous collage of samples, surrounding noises and synthesizers. Here, Maori percussion dug on field recording discs from the late 60s and 70s meet Indonesian chants recorded on phones and posted anonymously online. A nostalgic yet deeply contemporary testimony to an imagination weakened resulting from the cultural globalization. 

With "Drums Circles", Tushen Raï wants to reconnect with the adventure novels, from Jules Vernes to Barjavel, which nourished his childhood. Thought out as an ode to the diversity of our cultures, our practices and our beliefs, "Drums Circles" is a cry in favor of open-mindedness and curiosity. It is an invitation to discovery rather than to conquest. 

A humble invitation to embark on a journey and to collective trance. 

With creating Hard Fist, Tushen Raï has found a way to bring together his two passions: collecting records and travelling. From Turkish psychedelism to Romanian cold wave or tribal african techno, his undeniable dancing sets are fed with powerful soul voices, weirdo beats and unknown instruments.

Two excellent remixes coming in for AIKON's 'Night Rider' Release.
Ukrainian powerhouse The Organism takes ‘Night Rider’ and gives it an entirely new broken rhythm, with the original parts given a new lease of life as a result of the bouncing flow he whips up. Modular Project transform ‘Street Dancer’ into a brooding, slow-burning masterpiece, swapping the electro rhythm for a solid 4/4 beat and lacing the track with a little muted, distorted acid gurgle.

Berlin-East Frisian artist Heindenreich (@therealheidenreich) presents his new EP ‘Gitarren im Darkroom’ on ODD Pleasures (@odd-pleasures). A carefully crafted sonic journey through the subconscious landscapes of a twisted mind. Loaded with metallic percussion and syncopated rhythms the EP is characterized by mysterious atmospheres, rolling bass lines and beefy beats. On top of these we find obscure vocals provided by Timo Heidenreich himself on ‘Gitarren im Darkroom’ and swiss artist ANGST vor GRETA on “Die Göttliche Bewegung” adding to the tracks phantasmagoric vibes. Dirty guitars and psychotic synth melodies are the main ingredients of this freaked-out recipe, presenting a certainly explosive and catchy formula characteristically decorated with Heidenreich’s always present pinches of exotic flavors.

Rounding up the EP this time remixes come in the hands of Tel Aviv’s mighty producer Mishell (@mishellmusik), and Hanzo, head of Vienna based label Belly Dance Services and half of the duo Hanzo & Yaman.

Mishell is an upcoming producer from Tel Aviv. His Slope EP is a very diverse record – every track with a different feel, from positive to even more dark vibes. All of them combine the same influences such as funky vibes, trance melodies, rolling house bass lines as well as organic percussions and instruments. The track Tika was created in collaboration with his good friend Lott.
On top Spanish acid line expert Bawrut contributed a slamming remix that totally sets the dancefloor on fire!

The young duo from Israel delivers a dynamic release with powerful leads and acid elements gravitating between dark disco and acid house. The EP is composed by two original tracks: Acid Jungle and Under Attack and the tracks have already been playing around the globe, receiving great response on the dancefloors of renowned festivals and clubs around the globe. The creative and innovative label HEARec brings Mishell (SXDNS228) and Lott for its forthcoming release: Two close friends from Israel, currently based in Berlin where they invest their time in music production, heavily inspired by their hometown and their younger years. Their distinctive and powerful style make these guys great representatives of a new musical proposal coming all the way from the Middle East. Following their song “Modulnation”, released on the fifth annual VA compilation of the label, Mishell & Lott deliver this time “Nights of Montanita”, a five-track EP divided into four insightful originals and one beautiful remix by Tushen Raï (SXDNS038), one of the masterminds behind Lyon’s massive label Hard Fist Records.

“Harif”, the track we were solicited to premiere, means “spicy” in Hebrew, and its main characteristic is the sharp and remarkable shamanic vibe – it is truly hot. It starts with jerky drums, melted with oriental-styled strings and the signature guitar-like riffs of Mishell & Lott. Distinctive Middle-Eastern chords, powerful kicks, and the Psytrance atmosphere are a winning recipe. The duo scores a sensorial trip once again; you’d better keep an eye on them – we will surely do!
