Sinchi returns with a fourth fantastic volume of its Altered States compilation featuring a wealth of innovative artists from Italy, Mexico, Russia, the UK and Montenegro. As always, the label will donate all money from sales to the Sinchi Foundation, supporting indigenous peoples worldwide.
After previous EPs on Clipp.art, Welofi, Bosconi and Dance Petrol Records, Italian artist LA Kena is now bringing some heat to Sinchi Collective. His finely crafted electro track 'Panda' was primarily inspired by the car of the same name. The exact vehicle also donated most of the samples to the song, which is a brilliantly bumpy ride through trancey arpeggiators, broken beats and dreamy pads.

After breaking through with her solo LP in 2019 ‘Hielo Boca’, multi disciplinary artist Viktoria Wehrmeister (also known as the "better half" of Tolouse Low Trax on their collaboration project Toresch) is taking a step forward with her newest creation ‘La Vida Te Busca’ (“Life is looking for you”).
On her new album Decha is refining her approach to songwriting yet not losing the naiveté and her own unique way of producing.
Not abandoning her infatuation with expressional self made languages, this time Viktoria (Viki) is taking another step forward and sings in Spanish and for the first time also in German. Her Lyrics involve self reflection about life and existence as a woman, as a mother, as an artist, as a creator. She sings about her day to day experiences, her emotions, and about her encounters with her surroundings - with the people, the nature, and her place amongst it all.

Pedro Martins takes the stage for another release on Karakter.
“Broken Dreams” reflects feelings and thoughts derived from the current panorama. The inspiration behind this release takes you on a journey into more alternative territories, where Pedro explores cinematic slow electronica and breaks compositions. “Shut Up, Be Happy” is an intervention and homage to critical thinking and freedom, delivered in a form of hip shake power Breaks.
“Cosmic Odyssey” and “Empty Promises”, both move on cinematic hypnotic vibes, but with different energies and intentions. The last track which gives the name to the EP ”Broken Dreams”, is a bright ray of light that swipes away the darkness left by the previous tracks.
We would venture to embark on an endless journey through the galaxy with this soundtrack, and you?

After some recent free download edits of some rap classics, Caspian is back with a new EP with 2 Chilled out tracks with some trance and techno influence. The track featured here “Avon St” is a light hearted one techno number, and was made whilst reminiscing on good times with friends, in particular times spent at Motion in Bristol.

Lotus Wash drops his debut album on LBD Sounds, bringing a whole load of fresh material which came out from his experience as a session musician, and performing his experimental live sets around the Czech Republic. He connects the dots between classically trained musician and modular synth-head, working in Prague’s DIY shop and creative community Noise Kitchen. The album spans across 6 original tracks of pure analogue bliss and live ideas, alongside three remixes from his closest allies, local producers Oliver Torr, Vision of 1994, and Hrtl.
The Field Theory was created during a period of deep fascination with quantum physics, with the tracks being conceptually and aesthetically inspired by some of its phenomena. Acoustically, it’s mostly a slow and dark affair, with Lotus Wash only letting the light in very briefly when the sun is young (Magnetic Moment), keeping the shutter firmly closed for the rest of the record. His music does not rely on banging beats to drive it, instead letting intense grooves do the job from deep underground, just like on earth-shattering album opener Vacuum Fluctuation. He masters his craft of building atmosphere, a skill learnt during multiple collaborations with various Czech theatres. Of course, he lets the steam out occasionally, and always with devastating effect (Higgs Field, Casimir Force), but mostly choses to keep it capped, humming and hissing. When the sky clears, he opts for a minimalistic and hypnotic approach, only to disturb this peace with a killer bassline in one of the album’s highlights – Spooky Action in A Distance – later re-imagined and re-electrified by Oliver Torr. Standard Model is anything but your standard techno, while Hrtl’s remix of Magic Moment flirts with techno too, but on a dubbier and brighter side. Bringing the album to a close is Vision of 1994’s downtempo take on the same track, finally letting you breathe out.

Kevin Murf first appearing with his debut 5th tracker EP ‘All Inclusive’ on Paris based Grid Records. The first glimpse into his world, and what a world it is. Five deep excursions, all contrasting each other, speaking about the endlessly destroying pursuit of happiness of humans.
Our pick fell on ‘Small Hole of Large Absorption’, a near 5 minute atmospheric build-up of eerie field recordings and spacious samples, giving rest bite to the club weapons it followed, reminding the end of our naive world.

Soma Records’ electro sub-label, Avoidant Records assemble a fresh rogue squadron for another massive compilation as 16 electro warriors take on the ‘Dark Planet’.
After the impact of last year's huge ‘Defend Your Planet’ VA, Avoidant immediately set about recruiting another incredible group of artists that represent the Glasgow based label’s output. ‘Dark Planet’ brings together established, classic and up and coming producers who take their cues from the Detroit and European schools of electro. Gathered from across the planet - from Australia, The Netherlands, the USA and UK - the compilation sound is geared up for the dancefloor.
Our choice here was an a huge bass waves produced direct from majestic The Lord Of The Isles on ‘Approach & Identify’ glide across dubbed out percussion and effective melodies.
The compilation will be released on digital platforms on 22nd November this year, with a four track vinyl sampler to follow in early 2022 featuring a vinyl only exclusive Dub Mix of Flug’s contribution to the release.

On 'Blue Reflection' EP for Golden Forest, Faint Waves explores similar ambient-inspired territory to previous releases of his musical carrier. 
Drawing on his own experience working on his Rain Rhythms series of EP’s,  Faint Waves produced the ocean-tinted Blue Reflection in a similar fashion. 
'Blue Reflection'’s sonic and atmospheric inspirations are clear and present,  with apparent influences based in new age and jazz music. 
Harps, pizzicato strings, marimba, and bells permeate 'Blue Reflection' — crafting a coastal dream world that weaves in and out of the abstract.  The EP also has a distinct A-Side/B-Side feeling, with two tracks featuring a beat and two without.  Yet still, there is a consistent flow, as the languid waves carry you from track to track.

Gran canarian dj and producer David Hernandez aka Dunes, releases his second 'Escala de Grises' EP on his very own One Hour Less imprint. 'Gris Oscuro' represents those early hours of the night with a low bpm, a very marked bass and some dark pads. And the 'Gris Claro' make you imagine dawning with a track that it some point reminds a bit of the trance of the 90s with a twisted bass from the TB 303 that gives that acid air to the record.

Swedish electronic music stalwarts Frak deliver their ‘Formless Obstruction’ EP for Futurepast this November.
Johan Sturesson, Jan Svensson and Björn Isgren, better known to most as Frak are an electronic outfit based out of Karlskrona in southern Sweden, since the late 80’s through their own Börft Records, Frak have been releasing a heady brew of material ranging
from EBM, New Wave and Minimal through to more robust Techno, Acid, Electro and all things in between. Recorded @ Studio Styrka January & February 2021, Karlskrona - Sweden.
"We hadn’t met for some time, as we live in different cities. So, when we joined forces for this recording, it was all from scratch and a bit of fumbling at first. Here they unveil their latest works via the Futurepast imprint and our choice here fell is A2. track - ‘Wrong Owl’, fuelled by a stuttering acid arpeggio, cavernous, reverberated drums and twitchy bass notes all dynamically evolving throughout.

Secret Fusion is back with a new EP from SouveQ with Phunkadelica as well as SHMLSS and 88Dubs serving up the remixes.
SouveQ is a long standing DJ and producer who has a string of successful collaborative projects under his belt and since the beginning of the year has also been managing the label. He started his latest moniker as a live and production project in 2017 focusing on a synth laden, 80s influenced sound that draws on Nu wave, disco and techno.

After a very good 2020, Logia Records begins 2021 with a pretty strong release. Chinosynth’s single “La gran ciudad”, a very nice indie-dance track that smells the 80’s.
This single is followed by great remixes package by DELLA, Favio Inker, XLR, and Renuna in collaboration with Playa del Karma.
The Argentinian born, Barcelona based DELLA, gives us more electro version, with a little rave waves. On the other hand, Favio Inker with his version expands the range of melodies, one of his specialties. From Mexico, XRL brings a darker remix, on dark-disco’s way.
The last of the remixes, made by Logia’s members Playa del Karma and Renuna, a techno version, born for the dancefloor.
