Sinchi returns with a fourth fantastic volume of its Altered States compilation featuring a wealth of innovative artists from Italy, Mexico, Russia, the UK and Montenegro. As always, the label will donate all money from sales to the Sinchi Foundation, supporting indigenous peoples worldwide.
After previous EPs on Clipp.art, Welofi, Bosconi and Dance Petrol Records, Italian artist LA Kena is now bringing some heat to Sinchi Collective. His finely crafted electro track 'Panda' was primarily inspired by the car of the same name. The exact vehicle also donated most of the samples to the song, which is a brilliantly bumpy ride through trancey arpeggiators, broken beats and dreamy pads.

After breaking through with her solo LP in 2019 ‘Hielo Boca’, multi disciplinary artist Viktoria Wehrmeister (also known as the "better half" of Tolouse Low Trax on their collaboration project Toresch) is taking a step forward with her newest creation ‘La Vida Te Busca’ (“Life is looking for you”).
On her new album Decha is refining her approach to songwriting yet not losing the naiveté and her own unique way of producing.
Not abandoning her infatuation with expressional self made languages, this time Viktoria (Viki) is taking another step forward and sings in Spanish and for the first time also in German. Her Lyrics involve self reflection about life and existence as a woman, as a mother, as an artist, as a creator. She sings about her day to day experiences, her emotions, and about her encounters with her surroundings - with the people, the nature, and her place amongst it all.

Pedro Martins takes the stage for another release on Karakter.
“Broken Dreams” reflects feelings and thoughts derived from the current panorama. The inspiration behind this release takes you on a journey into more alternative territories, where Pedro explores cinematic slow electronica and breaks compositions. “Shut Up, Be Happy” is an intervention and homage to critical thinking and freedom, delivered in a form of hip shake power Breaks.
“Cosmic Odyssey” and “Empty Promises”, both move on cinematic hypnotic vibes, but with different energies and intentions. The last track which gives the name to the EP ”Broken Dreams”, is a bright ray of light that swipes away the darkness left by the previous tracks.
We would venture to embark on an endless journey through the galaxy with this soundtrack, and you?

After some recent free download edits of some rap classics, Caspian is back with a new EP with 2 Chilled out tracks with some trance and techno influence. The track featured here “Avon St” is a light hearted one techno number, and was made whilst reminiscing on good times with friends, in particular times spent at Motion in Bristol.

Lotus Wash drops his debut album on LBD Sounds, bringing a whole load of fresh material which came out from his experience as a session musician, and performing his experimental live sets around the Czech Republic. He connects the dots between classically trained musician and modular synth-head, working in Prague’s DIY shop and creative community Noise Kitchen. The album spans across 6 original tracks of pure analogue bliss and live ideas, alongside three remixes from his closest allies, local producers Oliver Torr, Vision of 1994, and Hrtl.
The Field Theory was created during a period of deep fascination with quantum physics, with the tracks being conceptually and aesthetically inspired by some of its phenomena. Acoustically, it’s mostly a slow and dark affair, with Lotus Wash only letting the light in very briefly when the sun is young (Magnetic Moment), keeping the shutter firmly closed for the rest of the record. His music does not rely on banging beats to drive it, instead letting intense grooves do the job from deep underground, just like on earth-shattering album opener Vacuum Fluctuation. He masters his craft of building atmosphere, a skill learnt during multiple collaborations with various Czech theatres. Of course, he lets the steam out occasionally, and always with devastating effect (Higgs Field, Casimir Force), but mostly choses to keep it capped, humming and hissing. When the sky clears, he opts for a minimalistic and hypnotic approach, only to disturb this peace with a killer bassline in one of the album’s highlights – Spooky Action in A Distance – later re-imagined and re-electrified by Oliver Torr. Standard Model is anything but your standard techno, while Hrtl’s remix of Magic Moment flirts with techno too, but on a dubbier and brighter side. Bringing the album to a close is Vision of 1994’s downtempo take on the same track, finally letting you breathe out.

LBR Records shows off the talent of its roster with a five-track various artists compilation that brims with electro and techno brilliance.

Opening up the EP is Mantra Mantra boss and Hamburg native 11Schnull. He has released on Jensen Interceptor's International Chrome and Planetaria and has been immersed in music for 25 years. His 'Whistles of Weezy' is a turbo-charged techno cut. Rave energy, serrated synths and rock-solid kick drums twist and turn with real angst and are sure to blow up the club.

York Hamza & Daao hail from Yerevan and Armenia respectively. The former runs the Mulraum events series and searches for utopian mysticism in his music. The latter grew up around jazz mixtapes and brings that sensibility to his sounds. Their visceral '53DUC710N' features warp speed drum programming that voyages to the stars. The serene pads add to the futuristic feel of this most perfect electro-techno fusion. Copenhagen's Rasmotron has DJed as Inspectah Scratch since 1994. He has a ghetto tech sound and was the first Detroit-style booty DJ in Europe. During the lockdown, he started his new Rasmotron alias. 'M32' is perfectly dark and dystopian. The hits slap hard, the bass booms so much it will rattle walls, and the caustic synths add tension next to the unsettling sounds of a baby crying.

Cyan85 hails from Eastern Germany and brings diversity to the electro scene. His sound drifts effortlessly from soulful and warm sun-drenched anthems through to in-the-red robotic slammers, which is the case here. The brilliant 'Bass In My Mind' is another full-flavour electro track that is both emotive and physical. It has bristling breakbeats, long-tailed pads and a cosmic feel that takes you to another world entirely. sin:it:sin started his musical journey as a drummer in a rock band but has since made numerous styles of music. Now he has honed in on a unique mix of IDM, electro and techno. His 'How To Be Old' has the most thoughtful atmosphere of the EP thanks to the meaningful chords and wistful leads, whilst powerful drum work and warped acid ensure the energy stays high.

LBR-002 is a high-grade collection of muscular dance floor workouts.

Latvian Alisa Scetinina aka Gaisma teams up with Rework for an exciting new collaborative project, Sceti. They debut on the Exlove label with a fantastic four-track EP of song-led synth disco. Scetinina is a former ballet dancer at the Stuttgarter Ballet, and now an accomplished vocalist. She fronts this powerful new outfit which is produced by Playhouse and Exlove artists Rework aka Daniel Varga & Michael Kuebler. Between them, they cook up a unique vibe that straddles the lines between disco, new wave, indie, electro and synthpop. They do so with vintage synths, minimal drum machine patterns and dreamy soundscape-like vocals from Alisa. 
Our pick here is fantastic 'Feel Alive,' a deep-cut future-retro jam that oozes attitude. The deadpan vocals and stiff bassline make for an irresistible groove.

Midi fanfare orchestrator Novo Line is back on Protofuture with a blazing 12”. His album “Racconti” (a concept-album on cassette) gets reinterpreted by the artist’s confrères Eva Geist, Dama, Wilted Woman, Tyler Pope and Elena Colombi, one year after its original release.
Cosmic/electro/dub meets synthetic, pulsing patterns inspired by Novo Line's disorienting yet danceable polyrhythms in this varicolored E.P, which journeys across late night and early morning sounds.
Kindly mastered by Analogcut in Berlin, the music sees the contribution of Protofuture’s inmates Dj Fett Burger, Trent and Telephones on mixing and live percussion duties.

Golden Forest is a French music label, exploring the organic side of music and aiming to promote new artists on the indie electronic music scene.
They have turned to an open vision of electronic music and are trying to change the way to listen to it.
Born in the mid-80s and having evolved in a family turned towards art and music, it was at the age of seven that AWITW began to practice music,  first with a classical course by learning for 6 years solfege and clarinet. 
then arrived in high school around 2002 discovering the first alternative electronic sounds coming out of the Nantes radio station Prun ', he began to produce ambient / drum n bass music under the nickname Elektrip. 
Arrived in 2009 he regularly frequents raves and free parties which bring him new inspirations and he turns to Reason software to deepen his way of working. 
In 2015, when the 80s revival movement began to become fashionable, it turned towards sounds inspired by the synths of the time, Roland D50, Juno 106, Korg Polysix, Minimoog, DX7 while keeping an atmospheric musical identity. 
Today he experiments with styles of all kinds while trying to keep this same musical identity, sometimes cosmic, sometimes hypnotic and it is always in the same research that AWITW presents here his first EP on Golden Forest, a mixture oscillating between ambient and psychedelic music, strongly inspired by his journeys through the cosmos.
Letting go involves stepping back from painful experience and noticing what is going on in our mind,  observing our thoughts and feelings. 
Over time the ability to observe our mind means that we can develop a certain curiosity about our experience rather than take our thoughts and feelings to be 'the truth'.

Our pick here falls on Tel Aviv based producer Lott. Camels Don’t Rush is a great opener driven by one chunky bassline blended with acidic synth elements. A massive tune that shows Lott’s talent to fuse eastern sounds with western house music inspired elements.

The metallic clunk of heavy machinery and the shudder of cogs echoed through the factory floors; the only sound that could be heard for miles and miles. From the factories to the shops, from the restaurants to the call centres, machines were now in control of everything. Human's purpose had long been defunct — they had less power, less speed, and what's more, they acted out of turn. Robots did exactly as they were told, no questions asked.

To give you a taste of the sounds at the core of their imprint, Swiss label LBR Records have rounded up some of their roster for a 5-track VA that journeys through the finest electro, rave and techno. Secret Fusion is back with a new EP from SouveQ with Phunkadelica as well as SHMLSS and 88Dubs serving up the remixes.
SouveQ is a long standing DJ and producer who has a string of successful collaborative projects under his belt and since the beginning of the year has also been managing the label. He started his latest moniker as a live and production project in 2017 focusing on a synth laden, 80s influenced sound that draws on Nu wave, disco and techno.
Our choice here was remix from old friend of the label by Hungarian producer 88Dubs who's draw on all his years of know-how to offer up his own sizzling and unique remix.

After a very good 2020, Logia Records begins 2021 with a pretty strong release. Chinosynth’s single “La gran ciudad”, a very nice indie-dance track that smells the 80’s.
This single is followed by great remixes package by DELLA, Favio Inker, XLR, and Renuna in collaboration with Playa del Karma.
The Argentinian born, Barcelona based DELLA, gives us more electro version, with a little rave waves. On the other hand, Favio Inker with his version expands the range of melodies, one of his specialties. From Mexico, XRL brings a darker remix, on dark-disco’s way.
The last of the remixes, made by Logia’s members Playa del Karma and Renuna, a techno version, born for the dancefloor.

Fever AM presents Xen Chron ( @cleamy ) with his label debut “Deleted Vapor”. Based in Weymouth, Massachusetts, Xen Chron is the most recent alias from a producer active at varying levels of obscurity for over 20 years.

This EP consists of five tracks of forward thinking, psychedelic, broken techno that lean into “sci-fi sounds & atonalities, a sense of fun, & head nod factor” in his own words. At a time where clubs and dancefloors are almost completely absent worldwide, this EP captures current moods and feelings while insisting for us to keep moving.
