Zauberstab V.A. Volume 1 is a compilation of electronic bedroom music made by contemporary artists that belong to similar sonic spheres. 
The A side feels like a holiday in an exotic landscape; the kind of place you don't want to leave. 
The B side then goes in a slightly deeper meditative direction, but not too far, since the sparking disco-infused psych exploration of ’Space Surfari’ will hold you back from falling into the void of the unconscious. What comes next is the sound that would welcome a moonlit night sky. 
The C side slinks into a minimal synth oriented exploration, ending with the intergalactic hopeful drift of ‘Har’.
The last side will provide a comfortable seat on this hypnotic journey. ‘Été 2017’ is an ode to the late summer nights, a mind-driving loop carried by gentle percussive sounds, filled with some bass deepness. The next tracks are the right balance between a hug and a breeze of fresh air for your mind and soul.
At this point you might find yourself wondering if it’s a good idea to open your eyes or just keep them closed for a bit longer and thoroughly enjoy all of the details of this story. But, why not? 
This one is, after all, a record to build beautiful memories with.

Joe Koshin makes his debut on Buried Records with his new EP ‘Inside’. Originally from Yorkshire, Joe’s introduction to dance music was forged in the North-east’s lively dance scene. This is where the sounds of Dubstep and Drum & Bass first piqued his interest in Electronic music. Currently based in London, he has developed his style in the renowned dance culture of the capital, elements of Breakbeat, Electro and Garage began to feature more prominently in his musical output. Rinse FM, Balamii, Planetaria Soundsystem, Childsplay and 199 have supported Koshin’s recent releases.
With all three tracks from the album being made during the pandemic, eerie tones can be heard throughout the EP reflecting the struggles we have all faced recently. Joe explains ‘I got myself into a pretty deep creative rut, and my output was at a real low'. With this lack of motivation, he struggled to make time for music and even considered throwing in the towel.
Our pick falls on the final track ‘There’s Nothing’ which pays homage to the Brazilian music Joe discovered during the lockdown. Clever sampling fuses cultural influence with his fierce sound seamlessly and is the hidden gem within this release.

Karl Kave makes his appearance on Lux Rec for their first release in 7” format. Four terse tracks influenced by his past experiences, high and low as they come, life events and tumultuous thoughts. The result is something of a sombre nostalgia for all that is not there anymore. Coming from Rheintal, a valley on the eastern part of Switzerland, he uses English, German and his native Swiss dialect to sing. Dive into it, meet sadness.

Stiletti-Ana, part of the dreamy sunbathed electronic duo “Jesse” and top tier in Finnish music production is releasing a new solo album, “I’m an arpeggiator” on Höga Nord Rekords. This album carries similarities to Jesse in both production and sounds but hides more ancient wisdom. A refined sound but with more edges left sharp and more of a mysterious vibe.
As the sound professor he is, Stiletti-Ana takes you in a tour of his vast collection of vintage synthesisers and in centre of attention sits the arpeggiator (hence the album title) which gives the sound much of its repetitive character. Recorded in the legendary Haista II-studio outside Helsinki, “I’m an arpeggiator” channels the energies from the waters and forest surrounding the studio, giving the music its’s escapistic and romantic character.
This record is a transcendental trip down the paths of Boards of Canada and Manuel Göttsching, dedicated to the ancient Babylonian fishing god, Dagan.

percussion work that supports a haunting grainy vocal sample. Underlying the track is a warm jazz-inflected chord progression that gives way to a dizzying sub-bass line. Perhaps the only exception to the Italian orientation of this album is our pick of progressive house 'Kultūra' track from London-based producer De La Phoenix, co-founder of ThisIsABanger.com, a music library archive of tracks both old and new that are classified as being highest tier. Along that, he holds monthly residencies at Balamii and Threads Radio stations. Throughout his time, he has hosted guest mixes from DJs hailing from Australia, Germany and Russia (among others). The title of the track translates as 'culture' in Lithuanian. This epitomizes what the words of Tiga are trying to convey within the breakdown; that the dance community has always been a form of culture and expression. While the last 12 months have been a challenge, the track serves as a reminder of who we as the underground community truly are and represent.

The idea for Suemori's new alias arose in conversation with Osàre! Editions label boss, Elena Colombi. An inheritance from his grandfather, the name sets the tone of the album that synthesises traditional Japanese instruments into an electronic format. Dub and drone’s eerie resonance collides with staccato electro and fizzling acid on ‘Yakkosan.’ Driven by a meditative beat, flutes and choral voices glide through 'Senpai Kouhai' while ‘Hankumoi’ shudders with lucid synth. The cultural iconography of Japan emerges from this dark, textual landscape, haunted both by the ghosts of the past and spectral sound of the future.

Thomaas Banks launched the Sinahti label towards the end of 2019 before returning to drop his 'The Dark' EP in February 2021 which garnered support from Bloody Mary, The Hacker, Alienata, Curses and more. The U.K. born, LA-based artist who is also one-half of the Psychemagik outfit has been sculpting an off-the-wall sound over the last few years which touches on the darker side of techno, industrial and EBD-tinged sonics. Thomaas now invites an array of talent to remix his latest EP adding raw and haunting elements to the already explosive originals.
Our pick falls on Florida-based artist, TL3SS who rounds off the EP with a heavy dose of power electronics, shattering low frequencies and piercing synths.
