Introducing our next Sister of Sound - ANASTASIA

Anastasia’s passion for DJing and music production sparked from being an active member of the Red Moon Tribe and Northside dance community for the past 4 years. Upon embarking on her music journey, Anastasia has showcased her unique curation of sounds at various underground bush doofs and private gatherings over the past year. After performing sets at various larger gatherings early this year including ‘Dawn Light’ and the ‘Re:connection NY Gathering’, where she had the incredible honour of playing the midnight opening set of 2022, Anastasia has made an official entrance into the Melbourne event scene with her debut Red Moon set at Crescent Moon Gathering last weekend. 

Inspired by a combination of raw, driving European techno and the earthy, organic Australian bush sounds that we love so much, Anastasia brings this unique blend into her sets, creating a hypnotic journey filled with rich melodies and dark basslines.

Introducing our next Sister of Sound - NAOMI KHARMA

Naomi (@naomikharma) is a Melbourne based DJ and Producer, a mad scientist in her personal life as well as her musical pursuits dabbling in sounds from the age of 5. One of her earliest memories was making music with Mario Paint (music arranger) on Super Nintendo. As she grew, her passion for music did as well.
Learning the piano, guitar and violin played a major part in her experimentation with live instruments and digital beats. Drum and bass nights (where eargasms became encapsulating on intimate dance floors) is what inspired Naomi to enter the electronic realm, where she broadened her knowledge and learnt how to mix records/spin vinyl, Interestingly enough that is where she found a new love for techno.
After joining forces with Offworld Crew, her style of bush tech emerged. Rolling bass-lines, layered melodies and deep minimal drops across all genres are her cup of tea. Naomi’s adventurous soul and light nature comes through her music whilst still dabbling in the dark side. After years in the industry, and mastering the skills of a deejay she was inspired to create her own magic. A producer who has been alchemising techno and drum n bass into her own auditory style of "Wub-Tech".
Carefully fine tuning her sounds, beats and live instrument samples for her upcoming releases she'll capture you with her bass rollers and harmonic melodies that reflect her eclectic and mischievous style.
