Between his frequent musical pilgrimages to Haiti and the development of fresh solo material in Venice-based studio, Joseph Ray of NERO has locked into a new, exhilarating and cavernous club sound with his forthcoming two-tracker on Anjunadeep, 'Room 1.5 / Chem-EX'.

Ahead of its release on August 20, Ray has handed over 'Room 1.5' for a premiere. 

"This track was inspired by my days listening to jungle... fuzzy memories from the London nights when I got into dance music," Ray told Mixmag. "Those sounds and atmospheres have never really left me and this is my homage to them."

Messiah is the next single from Joris Voorn's 4th studio album ‘\\\\’ [four].

Undoubtedly a huge moment of the album, ‘Messiah’ is a collaboration with London electronic quartet HÆLOS whose cross-genre output has been attributed to a number of soundscapes spanning trip-hop to shoegaze. The track sees Joris blend a 90s inspired breakbeat and rave aesthetic with impeccable and glistening synth arpeggios, layered with the spine-tingling ethereal vocals of HÆLOS frontwoman Lotti Benardout. 

Voorn’s new album finds its inspiration in the European electronic scene of the mid-’90s, and alongside HÆLOS, the album features collaborations with Voorn’s heroes Underworld, and Dutch pianist Michiel Borstlap. 

From tried-and-tested dancefloor workouts through to introspective, languid compositions, it’s a beautifully varied package.

The new part of the warm groove is an ode to the awakening nature-slow, measured, very careful with a gradually increasing groove, eventually developing into a very beautiful dance. It is perfect for a trip to the sea, waking up in the morning, taking a day walk or letting the sun Shine. The compilation was completely unplanned, thanks to three songs that I wanted to record in the mix for a long time, and one in the end did not go into the mix according to the mood, which means it will be the root of a completely different mix.

Новая часть тёплого грува это ода просыпающейся природе - неспешный, размеренный, очень осторожный с постепенно нарастающим грувом, под конец перерастающий в очень красивые танцы. Он восхитительно подойдёт к поездке на море, утреннему пробуждению, дневной прогулке или пусканию солнечных зайчиков. Подборка собралась совершенно незапланированно, благодаря трём композициям, которые давно хотелось записать в миксе, причём одна в итоге в микс не зашла по настроению, а значит будет корнем совершенно другого микса.
