Sentic Cycle a.k.a. Theodor Sperl - non-binary Electronic Music producer and DJ based in Vienna is back with his second single release as we ramp up the anti for his album ‘Visions Through The Window’ which this week. “Visions Through The Window represents the hallucinations I experience sometimes when I look through a window. It's a moment where I lose touch with reality but also a moment that allows me to come back to reality and create new things.”

Highly influenced by sampling bits from other artists and layering them to create new ambient, noisy soundscapes in Jungle and DnB that hold both beauty and darkness is what Sentic Cycle has done so craftily in this album. “I'd like to point out the intro and the outro as these are one-takes from a synth. There was only a little editing going on. I think this shows a true moment of musicality. Just going with the flow and creating...not thinking too much about creating a tune.”

Visions Through The Window is a follow up to his last EP 'Patched In Visions' where he addressed issues of mental health. In this album, he tries to manifest his chronic illness musically, exploring it through ambient sounds and noise elements. Every single track reflects a memory, a symptom or a mood. It is meant to be a journey through time and (in)sanity.

It is easy to say that this is the heaviest and darkest release on the label yet, it brings a certain level of insanity to the table, turning everything upside down. ‘Pull Up’ makes us feel like we didn’t know the definition of distortion before, it is shadowy as it gets, with a big metallic snare drum to keep us hypnotized and a bassline so evil it makes it difficult not to love this tune
