Sliding in with his Debut Release, Mexican native, AIOKAI will put you through the ringer with this monstrous bass heavy EP laced with BADMAN riddims. Also featuring //DarkMode’s SubFILLA with a DnB remix, this EP is not one for the faint hearted.

Spiders Under My Skin is about chronic anxiety attacks that cause insomnia and psychogenic itch.

About Aiokai
Aiokai is a drum & bass and dubstep producer from Mexico. He also likes to explore other genres like uk garage, future garage, breakbeat, breakbeat hardcore and juke/footwork. His DJ Sets are known to have a constant flux, altering the mood depending on what’s happening on the dance floor, never switching genres without accounting for structure, vibes, and groove. He is known for being an important part of the Mexican junglist scene.

He has played in Italy, Croatia and England and alongside artists such as DJ Marky, MC Fava, Run Tingz, Calculon and more. He considers that working at the Outlook Festival in 2018 and 2019 has given him a rich taste in multiple music genres. He is also a music production, sound design and sound engineering teacher. Aiokai works as a music promoter with multiple agencies such as Jungle Empire, BLDSMX and TLILTIC. In the last two, he also manages and does A&R for their respective record labels. He also works as a music writer, interviewer and curator in TLILTIC Radio, an online electronic music magazine and platform.

While creating the track "Stay with me," I aimed to build a strong Drum & Bass rhythm. I carefully selected the drum and bass elements to create an energetic and memorable foundation. I tried to keep the melody simple yet impactful, so it could convey both movement and emotion to the listener. My inspiration came from everyday life and the relationships around me; therefore, the track creates an atmosphere that invites you to dance while carrying an intimate feeling.

*Dubamorphosis* is sonic metamorphosis — a ceremony of transformation recorded onto the warm, textured body of analog tape. This is not just an album, but a ritual. A vibrational codex in dub key. A butterfly born from bass.

Created by **Aton & The Resonants**, this work is both root and expansion: root as earth, rhythm, ancestral memory; expansion as light, cosmos, the unseen pulse beneath all things. Reggae here is not merely a genre — it is a spiritual language: a system of pulse, space, and vibration designed for collective healing and awakened embodiment.

Each track is a phase in the metamorphosis — from cocoon to flight. A sequence of deep breaths woven with delays, reverbs, and minimalist groove. Voices emerge as mantras, chants, or wind-wrapped whispers. The bass doesn’t just guide the path — **it is** the path. Like the spine of a solar insect, it carries the dance and the trance.

Recorded and mixed with analog processes, this cassette master version is not nostalgia — it’s a statement: **time has texture**. And tape, with its warm growl and gentle imperfections, reminds us that music is not only what’s heard, but also what is *felt between the spaces*.

Instruments were approached as ritual beings: drums that breathe like jungle soil, organs that slither and pulse, guitars that strike like vines in rain. At the center: a butterfly — a living symbol of conscious change — spreading wings woven of delay trails, tape hiss, and filtered sunlight through smoke.

Inspired by deep roots reggae (Burning Spear, Marley, Augustus Pablo), yet expanded into a mystical and futuristic dimension, *Dubamorphosis* is also a **manifesto**. A proposal for living. A reminder that within chaos, there is rhythm — and within rhythm, there is healing.

This album is not designed for the speed of streaming or the logic of consumption. It is meant to be **inhabited**. To be listened to with the body, the heart, with bare feet on soil or while floating beneath the stars.

*“Bless the rhythm that returns me to Earth”*, the inner voice chants at the end.
And so, what began as a bass seed, becomes a butterfly of light.
