Birmingham-based producer Ed Hodge signs his first vinyl release for tresydos records.

Fresh off the back of a Bandcamp release for Skiptrace, as well as a lush saxophone feature on White Peach, the upcoming artist is beginning to see the fruits of his dedication to all things music.

His debut vinyl works slot neatly into the sultry house aesthetic of mari.te’s tresydos imprint. The label has been a frequent face on the Trommel channels, with releases from the likes of Wil Do, Marius, and Anderson, navigating neat housey excursions with subtle influence of breakbeat, and minimalist flavours. Opening up the release, British producer Pierre Codarin’s ‘Millenial’ is a stuttering cut with a bouncy bassline, metallic hats and crystalline synths that continually evolve throughout. T. Jacques is next with ‘Terry’s Jambon’ which drives forward with its mesmerising rhythm built on 909 kicks and intricate percussion as lively 303 squelches join cascading arps. On the flip, Orbital London boss Jack Michael takes things into trippier territories with soaring pads, syncopated drums and otherworldly atmospherics in ‘Zero’. Tying it all together, Pager Records co-owner Phil Evans dons his Electro hat for an ominous and scintillating number entitled ‘Tilted’.  Spaghetti Club 001 drops on 3rd July 2020.

Munir Nadir delivers the 6th release on the 4Plae Blanc imprint. Overflowing with the fun, funk and freaky sounds that the Turin based tastemaker has become known for, the ‘Pull Yourself EP’ is a certified hip shaker - dancing shoes at the ready. 

Some of the labels comrades dish out a couple of luscious remixes on the B Side, Oshana bringing a more floaty feel to ‘Talk About Sex’, reminiscent of some sunny open airs of summers past, whilst our amigo from the Miriam camp, Benson Herbert, gets bumpy with his take on ‘Pull Yourself’.
