Some of them are known as HÖR, Brave Factory Festival, CXEMA, club ∄ and VESELKA residents. Also the VA features local vinyl only artists and a few newcomers.

Label boss Aimes returns to his home base with a double track ep of chugging acid-tinged left-field techno. Both tracks implore multi-dimensional existiliast lyrics combined with cosmic leaning production.  
 A1 is the title track of course, describing an out of this world existential experience. The track is bouncy, fun, and slightly odd, but certainly danceable. 
 On A2 (which is offered up only on vinyl), Aimes takes the original song and turns it into a club-ready slow-burning stomper with a full on repetitious acidic bassline fit for any sleazy techno set.  
 The remix on A3 comes courtesy of Sean Johnston aka Hardway Bros (member of A Love from Outer Space with Andrew Weatherall) who turns the original into a dark and brooding version with a punchy bassline and cosmic synths.  
 Aimes’ second original on the EP, We Are Eternal, is a massive slowed down acid burner that reiterates the eternalness of humanity. Incredibly psychedelic in nature, the pulsing bass and bubbling acid line is prime for a dark and sweaty rave.  
 B2 comes courtesy of Panorama Bar resident Massimiliano Pagliara who submits a cosmic, dubbed out flip of the original, taking the listener on an extended spatial journey. 
 On B3 Japanese producer Que Sakamoto and his production partner NT ramp up the bpms for a dark disco rendition of the original.

We can't say otherwise than that this guy is killing it at the moment. His Italo edit of Bollywood classic 'Koi Jaye' has probably caused more unified dance floor irruption than any other track last summer - being played by the likes of Palms Trax, Job Jobse and Hunee, to name a few. With his latest, similar flavoured edit for Dar Discu gathering the same reactions, the time has come for his first original work and delivers big time for Something Happening Somewhere’s 12-track V.A. compilation.

After a family affair of SoHaSo's first NOWHERE installment the Amsterdam label around head-honcho Nuno Dos Santos is set to release the second part of the series bringing not only artists but different styles together. NOWHERE02 includes music from label mainstays like Ian Pooley or David Ellesmere as well as new cuts from aspiring artists such as Tjade or w1bo or long term musicians like Tripeo or Mark Du Mosch. The latter and Rotterdam-based beat-maker delivers flashy insights into his creative being and delivers a track that unites the beauty of an old-school bass line with  a still funky and groovey note and tops it with deep, charming and intriguing chords that keep the listener hooked throughout the take. In A Flash (e) is somewhat of a dubby approach that unfolds its full potential over a housey clattering bass line, which is designed to roll over those (shut down) dance floors.

Something Happening Somewhere's vinyl sampler of the NOWHERE02 compilation is relased on April 3rd, 2020.

Tune in to Far Out Radio Systems, who's antenna's may rest on Belgium soil but who's strong signals head in all directions. Station master of Far Out Radio Systems is the Genk based producer Thomas Neyens, who keeps a cinemascope view on electronic music and has previously released on the SoHaSo- label as Kiani & His Legion.

This EP shows some of his many perks. There are Holden-like modulair waves on Theme For The Lockdown, beautiful intricate Isan-esque melodies on Imagine The Sun and Sykotine Storm and a straight four-four kick on the disco driven Skies.

Opening track On Boolean Plans is something else entirely. It relives the time when amen breaks were flooding the streets of London. But Neyens brings things up to par with these pandemic times by including a beautiful melancholic string.

Far Out Radio Systems truly lives up to it's name. Strong vibes in every direction.

Lebanon Hanover - Schwarzenegger tears

Adaptogen is an art project by Ukrainian-Polish duo Volt Agapeyev and Sławomir Zbiok Czajkowski realized remotely in a virtual reality environment. Using 3D modeling tools and VR headsets, the artists created a series of fantastic flowers which can be seen collected together in a virtual exhibition (the link will be available on the opening day).
Why did the artists choose the flower theme? First of all, nature, the motif of a plant, a flower, has been an unquestionable inspiration for artists for centuries. Biodiversity is a key issue for the survival of life on Earth in times of climate catastrophe and the problems of the Anthropocene. The motif of the flower or, more broadly, the plant has been chosen as a tribute to the biological complexity of our planet.
In the visual arts, the flower is one of the most recurring motifs; flowers are not just representations of reality, but are many times attempts to describe the world in their own language. In flowers, apart from their obvious physical characteristics, a careful observer will notice a metaphor for human life. Beauty mingles with death, fragility with great endurance, in flowers we can find symbolism that moves us deeply. “Each higher organism is richer in information than a Caravaggio painting, a Bach fugue, or any other great work,” wrote Edward Osborne Wilson, often called the “father of biodiversity”, in a seminal paper in 1985.
The project was carried out as part of the Hyper Global / Hyper Local project by MakersXchange.
