Empty Lands is a meditation on space and repetition, a journey through a barren emotional landscape. Over four minutes, the same descending chord progression loops like a distant echo, while the drums explore a hypnotic 7-stroke marching roll. The rhythm rises and falls, occasionally shifting to the floor tom to add depth and resonance, like footsteps reverberating in an empty expanse. This track is less about resolution and more about inhabiting a still, desolate place—finding beauty in the stark simplicity of the moment.
