I am proudly presenting you my new album - “The Art of Distortion” 

This project took a very long time; from spending a few years writing and selecting the best tracks, to getting it pressed in the Netherlands and then awaiting its arrival to the USA… Many of you been waiting for this record to come out since I made a couple of rushed announcements in the past. Lots of tough circumstances were holding the release day back. 

Now we are here. I hope it was worth the wait. 

All the records are pressed and ready to be shipped to you. They look and sound crisp! Waiting period for shipping is no more than 4 weeks. Records will go fast, so make sure you get yours ASAP. I will put a little gift in every sleeve :) 

About the album: 
The Art of Distortion LP is a collection of eight bass-heavy compositions with moods varying from light, fairytale-esque & ethereal, to dark, melancholic & mysterious. All of the tracks are made with an emphasis on musicality, cinematic vibe, gritty bass and textural elements. This record is not as much about crazy sound-mangling techniques -though it’s still full of all sorts of ear-candies- but more about the musical story and atmosphere.

Records are pressed on 180gm heavyweight black vinyl with a full sleeve artwork and full color printed inner sleeve.

Humandala’s brand of aqueous, soul-infused electronic music takes full flight in the Qualia EP. Flowing from smooth, jazzified chord progressions and subtle sound design to chunky synthesis and aggressive breakdowns, there’s few stones unturned by Humandala’s musical inquisition. As each track evolves throughout their individual arrangements, so does the EP’s flavor and intensity. There are no gaps to bridge in Qualia’s journey, with every song interlocking with juxtaposed songs around it like a form-fitting puzzle. It’s a powerful symbiosis that represents the EP’s full-service experience, and solidifies Qualia as Humandala’s most lucid release yet.

5AM is Philly-based producer, musician, graphic designer, and creative magnate Sam Andrus. Once a student at the Rhode Island School of Design burning the midnight oil in the studio with a soundtrack always in the background, Sam has since forged his inspirations from jazz fusion, funk, and future beats into a style of bass music known to captivate audiences with a spectacle of mesmerizing detail and high resolution sound design. 5AM’s music merges worlds as it expertly weaves electronic production and live instrumentation through creative processing and meticulous mixing. To bring his journey full circle, Sam has expanded his project to form the 5AM Trio, a collaboration complete with live drumming from ZONE Drums (Aaron Harel) and guitar, bass, and pads from Keith Wadsworth. 5AM has soared to new heights, becoming the first electronic music producer to perform at the historic Kings Theatre in New York City for the sold-out Tipsgiving. 5AM is now a seasoned performer who's shared the stage with Tipper, Shpongle, Jade Cicada, kLL sMTH, Detox Unit, Kalya Scintilla, Random Rab, and more, and lived and built strong roots up and down the east and west coasts of the US.
