Although Mikey aspired to be a basketball player in his youth, he later gravitated towards music as a means of expression and storytelling.

Despite being a good kid, Mikey had a reputation as the class clown and often got into trouble in school. He also faced challenges at home after his parents split when he was 16, causing him to live with his mother and become the man of the house as a teenager. This experience motivated Mikey to work hard and become successful.
