Growing up, Mikey was a star athlete, excelling in basketball, soccer, and hockey. His favorite athletes include Kobe Bryant, Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Alexander Ovechkin, Sidney Crosby, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Henry, and Ronaldinho. Although Mikey aspired to be a basketball player in his youth, he later gravitated towards music as a means of expression and storytelling.

Despite being a good kid, Mikey had a reputation as the class clown and often got into trouble in school. He also faced challenges at home after his parents split when he was 16, causing him to live with his mother and become the man of the house as a teenager. This experience motivated Mikey to work hard and become successful.


At the age of 16, Mikey Bloom started making music in his basement and slowly built a local fanbase through word of mouth and social media. He would post videos of his rapping and singing that were shared by friends, which helped him gain popularity in his hometown.
