Mikey Bloom is a talented musician hailing from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada with Ethiopian roots. He creates a diverse range of music, including pop, dancehall, R&B, and hip-hop, with the latter being his main focus as a rapper. Mikey is not only a rapper but also a producer and songwriter, crafting all his own music and writing for others. He was inspired to make music after it helped him through difficult times in his life and he now aims to create music that can help others in the same way. His musical influences include Michael Jackson, The Weeknd, Drake, Bruno Mars, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, and Partynextdoor.

Growing up, Mikey was a star athlete, excelling in basketball, soccer, and hockey. His favorite athletes include Kobe Bryant, Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Alexander Ovechkin, Sidney Crosby, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Henry, and Ronaldinho. Although Mikey aspired to be a basketball player in his youth, he later gravitated towards music as a means of expression and storytelling.

Despite being a good kid, Mikey had a reputation as the class clown and often got into trouble in school. He also faced challenges at home after his parents split when he was 16, causing him to live with his mother and become the man of the house as a teenager. This experience motivated Mikey to work hard and become successful.


At the age of 16, Mikey Bloom started making music in his basement and slowly built a local fanbase through word of mouth and social media. He would post videos of his rapping and singing that were shared by friends, which helped him gain popularity in his hometown. He began releasing his music on SoundCloud and YouTube, later moving to more popular platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.

In 2020, Mikey invested heavily in his music, which boosted his following and listenership in his homeland of Ethiopia. He leveraged his growing popularity on Instagram to grow his presence on TikTok. He would live stream and perform freestyles every day for months, engaging with his audience by rapping the words in the comments. He pioneered a new style of interactive performance that helped him grow his TikTok page to 2.4 million followers.

Mikey Bloom is considered the future of hip hop and performance. With his memorable melodics and versatile style, along with his clever wordplay, smooth delivery, and love for the music, he has the potential to take over the music industry. He has a unique blend of musical influences from a variety of genres, including pop, dancehall, R&B, and hip hop. This has allowed him to develop a unique style that sets him apart from other musicians in the industry. His music is filled with positive messages and is aimed at helping others, just as music helped him through dark times in his life.
