Woomera ~Trio pour flute, violoncelle et piano

This work was inspired by the eighth volume of the Manyoshu (The Anthology of Myriad Leaves): "A dewdrop of white dew, which a deer has placed through a bush bush bush, is wrapped around the hand of a person who is not a deer but a person who is a human being. The image of autumn was inspired by hagi, one of the seven plants of autumn. I superimposed the harmony of the 2nd and 7th degrees, which are dispersed as if clinging to the persistently repeated A (la), on the interwoven scene of the dewdrops and the branches of the bush clover.

In the early Heian period (around the 9th century), five poems by Ono no Komachi, one of the Six Immortals of Poetry, were selected and made into this music works. Considering that Murasaki Shikibu, Sei Shonagon, and many other women were active during this period, and that their records have been handed down to the present day in the form of songs, novels, essays, and other works, I always find myself transcending time and space. I am trapped in a dizzying sensation.
