By the Internet, in the form of zeros and ones, we've received a mix from Atawizm, a young musician from the wonderful city of Kaliningrad (we are a little bit nostalgic about drinking alcoholic beverages with a view of old German mansions), who recently moved to also wonderful St. Petersburg (we continue to feel nostalgic, but for all of those alcoholic beverages that we could drink there now, but for some reason we are still sitting in Moscow).

Important disclaimer: the mix from Atawizm won't make your life easier during these mercilessly hot July days - with all these techno, breakbeat, and electro tracks from the guys like TV.OUT, Pearson Sound and Asquith, it accelerates to 155 BPM and even the toughest of us feel how their pulse accelerates because of it. Please, take care of yourself: listen carefully to the mix, drink more water and hang out in the shade more often.

The sound echoed in the dusty chamber. A small crowd had gathered to observe him play in what was a beautifully orchestrated environment. The audio was crystal clear, it landed softly upon the ears of the delicate audience as they stared fiercely into the darkness. For he was not visible, at least not to the naked eye, the vamp was all that was important in this place, not his outward appearance, tattered clothes or distant gaze. The music was all that mattered. 

Arkajo makes up one half of the infamous Genius Of Time duo. His solo work sees him draw upon darker influences, more akin to the sound of murky back room club.

The ever productive Conforce returns to one of his key home labels for another exploration of his prolific deep sea techno sound. His Haedron EP has a firm dance floor focus, designed to propel you ever further forwards. 

'Haedron' sets things off with smeared chords adding scale to the knocking beats. Hi-hats glisten like light beams penetrating the deep ocean and it’s a typically warm and comforting track from the Dutchman. 'Scorched Earth' has harder techno kicks forcing you forwards. An ecosystem of claps, hats and twisted pads bring plenty of energy and suspense to the party, then 'Muon Transverse Momentum' manages to mix up hugely expansive chords with pillowy but dynamic drums and oodles of cuddly reverb. Last of all, 'Quantum Phaser' ups the ante with some timeless dub techno vibes that mixes Basic Channel with Planet E to mesmeric effect.
