Glass Animals are a Grammy and BRIT-nominated British band whose genre-blending sound and cult-like fandom have made them one of the most exciting acts in global pop. Their third album Dreamland became a cultural multi-platinum selling phenomenon and spawned Heat Waves, the record-breaking single that topped charts worldwide and made history as the first UK band to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in nearly 30 years. Last year, the band released their fourth critically acclaimed album I Love You So F**ing Much, a sci-fi-infused odyssey about love, connection, and what it means to feel real in a surreal world. It arrived alongside a 44-date world tour that included headlining The O2 Arena in London and Madison Square Gardens in New York. Frontman Dave Bayley — also one of pop’s most in-demand producers — writes and produces every song, often with an experimental DIY edge that blurs the lines between music, tech and visual art. A fan of such diverse artists as Neil Young, Little Feat, Warren Zevon, Jackson Browne and Frank Zappa, Robbie’s contemporary-rock and melodic ballads resonate in many musical directions.
Coupled that with his up-beat style of Cajun rock and southern country beats reflect years of playing solo in bars and taverns in and around Toronto.

“I don’t have to tell people that I’m not much of singer but I just love writing a wide range of styles which also meant I had to sing my own compositions for better or worse.”
After playing the Black Swan (a pub located on the Danforth in Toronto) for about a year during 2013. Robbie says: “Other musician’s said I should record my songs.”
“I basically, declined mostly due to the cost until I met a producer for a Kensington Market recording studio (Vezi Tayyeb) who offered his talents as a multi-instrumental player.“

“You have to roll the dice sometimes and I figured it would be a bucket list kind of thing if nothing else.”
“I had written maybe 30 songs, but mostly rock. However, this time I decided to record mostly edgy folk songs overlayed with rock roots and see if that would go anywhere before doing a Crazy Horse sort of thing with distorted guitars, which I really love to play.”

Robbie laughing: "We finally mixed the sessions a few months later. Now, it's just a wait and see if the bucket gets filled, so to say."
