Carla Boregas is a Brazilian musician and sound artist. By merging the organic and the synthesized, Boregas work spans  composition, improvisation, performance, sound installation and radio art, and aims to transport the listener to different subjective perspectives of time and space, to invoke memories and to reflect about the nature-human relationship.

Among her array of solo and collaborative projects, Boregas co-founded the genre-bending punk band RAKTA; released her solo album “Pena ao Mar” on the Swedish imprint iDEAL Recordings;  is often active in duo with Brazilian percussionist M.Takara; curates Berlin festival and platform Radical Sounds Latin America; and have just released a new album with transdisciplinary artist Anelena Toku called "Fronte Violeta" on Nicolás Jaar' label Other People.

This mix is composed as a circular journey around the theme of returning. It moves gently through breath, fragmented memories, ritual murmurs, forgotten scenes, and voices that dissolve into air. The word Samsara is interpreted here as a cycle of memory—one that repeats with subtle dislocations. Within this cycle, sound attempts to remember itself, imperfectly—tracing the contours of that elusive phenomenon.

このmixは、「還る」というテーマを軸に円環をなぞるように構成されています。息づかい、断片化した記憶、儀式的なつぶやき、忘れ去られたシーン、空気に溶けていく声へと音は静かに移ろいます。“Samsara”という言葉を、ここでは微かなズレを伴いながら繰り返される記憶の輪廻として捉えました。そのなかで音が音自身を不完全に記憶する現象を辿っていきます。

Koeosaeme is a Tokyo-based sound artist and composer. His work explores memory, sonic texture, and dislocations in musical structure, navigating the space between intimacy and abstraction. Drawing on influences from 1950s–60s electroacoustic traditions and installation-based approaches, he incorporates elements of contemporary pop nostalgia and experimentalism, releasing works on both domestic and international labels. He is currently developing sound and spatial compositions for galleries and video works.

Rhucle is a Japanese artist based in Tokyo who began his activities in 2013. Since then, he has released over 80 works, including solo and collaborative albums, on labels from around the world.

He also runs his own private label, Night Coast, through which he consistently releases his own material.

From 2017 to 2019, he organized a live event series called Threshold, focusing on ambient artists. Through this platform, he invited and performed alongside numerous artists from both Japan and abroad.

Rhucle's music is primarily composed using synthesizers, piano, field recordings he captures himself, and samples from a variety of sources. However, he is not limited by conventional instruments—anything that produces sound can become a part of his music.

In addition to music, he also creates photographs, paintings, and collages, continuously exploring new forms of expression and artistic creation.

Rhucle（ルク）は、東京を拠点に活動している日本のアーティスト。2013年より活動を開始。これまでに世界各国のレーベルから多くの作品をリリースしており、現在までにソロアルバム・コラボレーションアルバム含め80作品以上リリースしている。 
また、プライベートレーベル「Night Coast」を運営、自身の作品をコンスタントにリリースしている。
2017年から2019年にはアンビエントアーティストを主体としたライブイベント「Threshold」を主催、国内外多数のアーティストを招待し、共演を果たす。
彼の音楽は主に、シンセサイザー、ピアノ、自身で録音したフィールドレコーディング素材、様々な素材からのサンプリングによって構成されている。しかし、音が生成されるものなら、あらゆるものを使用し音楽を制作している。 
また音楽以外にも、写真、絵画、コラージュ作品などを制作しており、常に新しい作品を創造し続けている。

In August 2025, I went camping alone in Hadano City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
As I was setting up my tent upon arrival, I noticed that I was surrounded by the sound of a flowing river and the chirping of cicadas, so I decided to record the ambient sounds of the moment.
I mixed the recording with a selection of tracks I've been listening to recently, both old and new, as well as fragments of music I'm currently working on.

Coincidentally, in 2024, during the MIMINOIMI-hosted Ambient/Week program, Keiko Torigoe (soundscape researcher) spoke about the Edo-period practice of “listening to insects.”  
The practice resonates with the famous concept of John Cage's *4'33"*, but she explained that Japanese people had been naturally practicing this for centuries.

2025年8月、神奈川県秦野市へ一人でキャンプに出かけました。
到着してテントの設営をしていると、川の流れる音やセミの鳴き声に囲まれていることに気がつき、せっかくなのでその時の環境音を記録しておこうと思い録音。
その録音を背景に、新旧を問わず最近よく聴いているトラックや制作中の断片を織り交ぜてミックスしました。

ちょうど2024年、MIMINOIMI主催 Ambient / Week のプログラムで、鳥越けい子氏が江戸時代の「虫聴き」という文化について話されていました。
虫の声に耳を澄ませ、環境そのものを楽しむという感覚はジョン・ケージの《4分33秒》にも通じますが、日本人はそれを以前から自然に実践していたのだと説明されていました。

"FeLid is the solo project of Kazutoshi Eguchi.

Incorporating instruments such as guitars and synths, as well as sounds that exist in everyday life as materials, he combines and deconstructs them without being bound by rules, pursuing the harmony hidden in the imperfect and abstract with his unique sensibility, and continues to explore new musical expression through an experimental approach.

His performance style varies from DJ to DJ and live performance site to site, attempting to improvise in the most appropriate way for the moment.
In the midst of this experimental process, he released a 10-track, 30-minute album “IN” on his own label, C ENTR A L, in 2021, which delves deep into his own inner world.

For this mix, I selected some beautiful tracks that were released during the pandemic—(most likely) produced in Japan. While I feel a bit uneasy about drawing a simple connection between COVID-19 and ambient music, I put this together as a way of recalling the many experiments and explorations that were happening at that time.
(The mix title reflects the release period of the tracks featured.)

今回のミックスではコロナ禍にリリースされた（おそらく）日本で制作された素敵な楽曲を選んでみました。コロナとアンビエントっぽいものを安易に結びつけるのもモヤっとしますが、あの時期にいろんな試みが行われていたことを思い出しつつ作成してみました。
