On the 70th episode of the MindTrip podcast, we welcome one of Brazil's finest techno exports, The Lady Machine. Born in Rio de Janeiro and based in Berlin, Camilla has been involved in the electronic music scene for the last 20 years mainly as a purist vinyl DJ.
Her sound is based on a complex structure of rhythms with dark synth lines and rich textures, while her versatile sets are characterized by her precise mixing technique and exceptional track selection. She is a resident DJ at Berlin's famous Pornceptual nights and you will probably enjoy her sets at a club somewhere close to you if you haven't already. As a producer, you can find her on labels such as Mote Evolver, Token, Symbolism as well as on Unterwegs, her own record label along with Decka.

Mama Snake is the reptilian alias of Sara Svanholm, a Copenhagen-based DJ/Producer whose slithering beats are every bit as cunning as the name suggests. She’s an integral part of her city’s scene and a card-carrying member of collaborative ‘mixed media channel’ Amniote Editions alongside names like Celestial Trax, Hadone and D.Dan. Deniro – a producer pur sang. Synthesizers are his way to communicate with the world. Deniro has been gradually emerging from the Dutch techno scene as one of the most exciting artists in Europe and beyond.

His music, markedly emotional and with roots in Detroit-inspired soul music, reflects over years of isolation exploring his vintage machinery to then appear in the catalogs of labels such as TOKEN, DGTL Records, трип, Oblique Music or Tape Records Amsterdam of which he is heavily bounded as it’s label owner. But it is also in the booth that he has proved to be an excellent sound architect, with sets that go beyond genres and whose contagious groove irrevocably binds us to the dance floor.


‘’In this mix you will find a variety of older Detroit and new techno sounds on a high BPM with hypnotizing synths which I always try to put into my sets. As a DJ I find it important to take people on a journey instead of playing bangers after bangers. The late 90’s and early 2000’s are my favorite periods of music. This is where I found my sound and still love it until this day. You can hear it in my own musical productions too. My new EP ‘’Pelé’’ is coming out at the end of June 2023 on my label Tape Records Amsterdam. Put your speakers up loud and I hope you enjoy this set!’’

Benales is a DJ and producer known for his unique blend of raw, dark, and deep techno and house, with nods to Detroit influences. Based in France, he has been making waves in the underground techno scene since the late 90s. With an extensive vinyl collection and a talent for selecting tracks that resonate with crowds, Benales has become a respected DJ in Europe, regularly playing at top clubs such as Tresor, Rex Club, Radion or Le Sucre, and sharing the stage with renowned artists such as DVS1, Zadig, Surgeon, Steve Bicknell, Dj Pete, and James Ruskin.

Aside from his skills behind the decks, Benales is also a gifted music producer. He has released several EPs and remixes on acclaimed labels such as Sino (Technasia label), KEY Vinyl (Freddy K label), Mitsubasa, Analog Solutions, Knotweed, Diffuse Reality, and more. As a producer, DJ and label head, Barcelona-based artist @adrianalopez is widely acclaimed as Colombia’s leading techno figure. Starting out in Bogota, where she cut her teeth holding down residencies at Club BarC, Cinema and La Sala whilst performing across her native country’s different cities, Adriana Lopez moved to Spain in 2003 where she quickly made a name for herself throughout Europe and beyond. With years of experience behind her, Lopez's deep understanding of techno is evident in her high quality and tastefulselections: mixing records with technical finesse that has led to appearances at the likes of DGTL Festival (Barcelona, Madrid), Village Underground (London), Faust and Vurt (Seoul), Lux Fragil (Lisbon), Vent (Tokyo), Mondo Disko (Madrid), Basement (New York), Berghain and Tresor (Berlin) and many more. 

Meanwhile, as a producer Lopez has released on Stroboscopic Artefacts, Modularz, Semantica, PoleGroup and Mistress Recordings, as well as remixed Svreca, Pär Grindvik and Spencer Parker on each label owner's respective imprints.
