Coarses is a Cleveland-based experimental techno producer who, for Bolthouse, turned to dub from drone for only a moment to bring us an expanse of spacious chords and noise that build into interleaved, driving kicks and a sharp bassline warming the cool shatter of glass shard hi-hats and the artist’s signature ethereal style of vocal manipulation. The result is the story of a goddess spirit echoing a dark grace between two planes—the familiar and unfamiliar.

Originator of the Hertz-project is the famous Swedish producer Pierre J. In 2001 he laid the foundation of what would become a tale of success. Several hits have been released on major key labels such as Sway, Drumcode, 1605, Underwater, Zync, SLS, Recycled Loops, Primate, Respekt, Tresor, Atom and the Hertz-imprint has gained respect from the techno scene's elite DJ's. Over the years Pierre has been involved in several collaborations with numerous well-known artists to keep the project fresh and current.

'Before Long' is a driving piece of progressive techno, offering a unique combination of arpeggiated sequences, dynamic drones, and scattered percussion. 'No In Between' presents a bassline-driven atmosphere, making use of acid lines and gated synth stabs to maintain a sense of energy and dynamism throughout. 'Liberation' is a melodic and nostalgic interpretation of the techno genre, making reference to elements of old-school house and trance while retaining the energy and drive of modern techno.
 
Before Long marks Cory Goldsmith's first outing on VRTN, putting forward a trio of tracks that are equal parts dynamic and introspective, capturing the ear of the listener in any setting.
