‘’Once upon an Icelandic Highway, my father and I embarked on an unforgettable journey. With a camera securely mounted to our jeep, we ventured out into the vast untouched wilderness to capture Iceland's other-worldly landscapes on film. The rhythmic hum of the tires against the road became our soundtrack as the terrain unfolded. Each twist and turn of the highway revealed breathtaking panoramas - from rugged mountains and cascading waterfalls to frozen glaciers and majestic fjords. On our return, I got to work editing a selection of the best footage. Later, I created a soundtrack that encapsulated the lunar-like surface of this incredible place and the repetitive rhythm of the car cruising along the road. In dedicating this release to my father, I pay homage to a man whose passion for the natural world was unparalleled. In loving memory of Brendan Joyce OBE.’’ - Joseph S Joyce

Highlight track Farbpaletten is as propulsive as it is large, a typical Dietz track that touches on trance, but not in the way you would expect. Last Saturday, London-based techno producer @dying_in_beauty performed an all vinyl DJ set at Inverted Audio Record Store in Peckham to mark the release of ‘In Praise In Shadows’ EP issued through his own Rhythm Without Reason imprint.

This season, synonymous with life and renewal, is the perfect time to launch this new opus in the ACCENTVA series, a deliberately eclectic and inclusive review of current developments on the electronic music scene. With a more generous format than ever before, it makes room for both well-known label producers and pioneering artists whose work criss-crosses the world with their unique and immediately identifiable sound. Nearly thirty artists have responded to the invitation and are brought together here to give us a glimpse into the prism of contemporary musical creation. Nor are there any presupposed and therefore definitive barriers of genre or style, On the contrary, the contours here are intended to be voluntarily porous and slippery, each track being interconnected with another, or at least echoing what we might call the zeitgeist.

The machine was oppressive and loud, it watched from the skies above, like a great overseer from the beyond. The people down below knew not why or who was behind the bulking beast but they could remember the sunshine and the life that had existed before. That, they would never forget.

It was always there, watching their every move as they came and went. It was a deconstruction tool, designed to break apart the pieces of a society which was once rife with colour and care. Now it was all gone.

It knew everything, the de-constructor. It was everything.

That was all.

Valencia based record label Frigio are set to release a remix package which features alternate versions of tracks from CLOCK DVA. This one is a hard hitting electro focussed EP which is built for dark, sleazy rooms. The Atom ™ remix was the stand out cut for us with a riotous saw driven synth and dark moody, alluring vocals.

A sheen, shaped, silver smooth
ringing go hues bounced against
the sizzle of shaking
as the steady siren sings
a tune to sway all sands
into dunes and dynamics delivered.

The wheel and roll of night air moon
dew'd backward, the underside is as dry as a chime,
while the uppermost is a rained as the tallest cave
that stretches the feel of inside
as if the costae verae were elastics,
and the sternum were a bell.

One that might only sound out
the metal in the veins,
like metal under water,
flowing, fell fathoms far
along an elliptical path,
drilling out the cache of concepts,
corroded and clean,
shing as beams build out bones
of sound from the dark kick
scratching out strange signs
we cannot deny.

And we know.
We who have heard.
And felt the raying cosm
building on scintilance
a vast canopy that drops
upon our heads a breaking force
to set us a'dream,
that no tone of suspended contact
between you and those ahead of you in line,
one place, one minute away
from a beta phase,
a sudden turn,
a slow new,
a change,
a chance,
to come careening slowly
into air that smells of lavender,
in a land of yellow grass
and black stones.
