Like many others burdened by the persistent lock-downs of 2020, Rupt deeply experienced the dismal and dreary atmosphere persistent in each day, made all the murkier with the frequent cold and rainy weather in France. Out of this dark and shadowy tenor developed “Muddy Mood”. Stylistically, Rupt channeled the idea of being trapped/locked in a loop, a loop that never seems to end -- indicative of the monotony and restrictions of the current global crisis. 

The track entertains the emotional idea and minimal concept of presence vs. emptiness while maintaining its dark and demonic theme. The minimal space creates ample room for creative remixes -- delivered in spades by fellow french artists RNDM., Probe (new project from psy producer Neuronod), and German producer mexCalito.

Muddy Mood EP is Rupt’s first release with Shadow Wulf Records. This will be RNDM.'s second release with Shadow Wulf, and both Probe and mexCalito's first.

We have already had the pleasure of hosting South Zone's music on both of our VA compilations this year, and we are absolutely thrilled to finally be unveiling his label debut EP, 'Real Eyes'. This massive scene release features 3 transcendant original creations that explode with originality, boasts an immaculate production quality and is loaded with dance floor rocking grooves. This is apex-level progressive, psychedelic techno crossover music - in other words, pure Techgnosis sound! On remix duty we have a trio of extremely talented label artists in KUNI, Unknown Concept and LEWIS., each bringing their respective styles to the table in a powerful showing of sonic synergy. The original Dr. Mephisto by Gabi 2B was the last release of the year 2013, and so it happens that the release to sign out 2017 is about two remixes to this track made by two big maestros.

Yuli Fershtat uses the original track's playful madness on top of his signature groovy bottom end.

While Sisko Electrofanatik comes up with a very straightforward and driving rework that will easily wreck a havoc at any dance floor.

As we present our 100th release on Soupherb after 7 and a half years of the label's existence, we wanted to do something special for all you people who have supported our music. We decided to take our favourite tracks from the label and get them remixed by our current favourite artists. The result is nothing short of spectacular. 9 dance floor gems from the past that have been remixed for the future, each one a masterpiece of goodness, and a 10th track which is a collaboration between the 3 stalwarts of the label, Ash Roy, Breger and Calm Chor referred to as the ABC of Soupherb Records.
