About the release

The German label-founder spoke on what the release embodies, stating: “Music From Space (Dimension A) is the brand new edition of this compilation concept, which you can take literally as it comes. I’m very happy to have collected eight exclusive tracks from the likes of Swedish Lady Molø, our newest signing Pôngo, ex-youngster Rodriguez Jr. and many more besides.”

Italian pairing Hunter / Game begin the journey with No Man’s Land, a slow-building piece packed full of ethereal synths and cosmic-themed vocal tones. Croatia’s Petar Dundov ups the tempo on Andante, showcasing his hallmark techno-trance sound through poignant chords and driving kick-hat combos, before longstanding Systematic affiliate Rodriguez Jr. arrives with Mare Serenitatis. A six-minute showcase in stripped-back, melodic groove, the celestial cut rises and falls with a gentle lucidity, opening beautifully into Fleut. Produced by rising Swedish artist Molø, shimmering keys
reside atop whispering hats to create an introspective dancefloor number, paving the way for the VA’s first collaboration: Eternity, courtesy of Systematic head Marc Romboy and Bedrock regular Oniris.
Breaks-inspired percussion marries up next to hauntingly-beautiful string solos, as the sounds of Germany and France collide.

Original techno luminary Scan X makes his label debut with Stellar Nebula, a late-night creeper that represents extraterrestrial worlds far removed from ours. We’re soon graced with the starry-eyed sounds of Pôngo, whose vocal offering leaves us in a state of reflection on Blind, before Munich mainstay Julian Wassermann transports us to martian territory with The Red Planet. An apt title, it acts as the penultimate track on the VA and sets the tone for the final collaborative effort:Neutron, produced by two electronic music veterans in the form of Oliver Linge and Olaf Pozsgay.

Marc Romboy’s Systematic imprint has built up a global following ever since its inception sixteen years ago. Inspired by the sounds of his Chicago heroes, Marc launched the label in 2005 and has since gone on to welcome an eclectic array of producers to the fold, from Mike Dunn to Fur Coat and a myriad of fellow talent. In most recent times, the likes of Robert Babicz, Pôngo as well as Marc himself have pushed the Systematic sound further, garnering the label a reputation for releasing emotionally-charged music that remains ripe for any dancefloor.

Bursting on to the scene back in 2012 with a Beatport chart topping release on Andre Crom’s OFF Recordings, Teenage Mutants have gone on to appear on labels such as Suara, Incorrect Music, Katermukke and Stil Vor Talent. First appearing on Kittball in 2014 with a remix of Steve Hope’s ‘Leaving’, the German project is back and revived as a duo with a fruitful year featuring a healthy release schedule, including an album set to drop on Stil Vor Talent late 2017.

‘Monastir’ inaugurates the release with firm driving kicks before tantalising melodies come into play – it’s a dark and mesmerising production with a compelling groove geared for the peaktime. ‘Republique’ follows suit with a shadowy aesthetic as distorted vocal moans and soaring synths work their magic throughout

microCastle returns for its third release of 2018, welcoming Kevin Jamey aka Groj to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Montreal, the Canadian artist shot into the spotlight this year with a trio of releases on fryhide. Kevin’s unique combination of rich design, compelling melodies and new wave vocal stylings have made him one of the underground’s most intriguing acts. The festival anthem ‘To Know You’, coupled with his HOSH collaboration ‘Jedi’, made for a hugely successful summer season. Now making his much anticipated microCastle debut, Groj presents his 'Bunk Up' artist showcase alongside a remix from Clarian.

Spread across four tracks 'Bunk Up' is a collection which transcends barriers and captures the imagination of electronic music connoisseurs. Beginning with the spirited vibes of the title cut, it becomes immediately apparent just how far Groj’s artistic scope reaches. Pulsating energies move in free flowing fashion, as esoteric vocals pierce the air, while impassioned melodies add a hopeful charm. Much like the Canadian's live shows where emotive shifts are at a premium, the narrative evolves into the techno inspired beats of ‘Five Roses’. Raw and industrial at points yet melodic and moving at others, it’s a dramatic creation perfectly dialled for a clued up dance floor. Prophetic in delivery, the storyboard then melts down into the EP’s closer ‘Rhyody’; a reflective, uplifting slice of melodic minimalism that’s already found favour with Dixon and Âme.

The lone interpretation of ‘Bunk Up’ is provided by Clarian who also makes his label debut here. The renowned musician and Montreal native has long been one of electronic music's most fascinating artists. His fresh, organic and masterfully creative productions have found a home on Life & Death, Kompakt, Turbo Recordings, Rumors, Anjunadeep and My Favorite Robot. Now fresh off collaborations with Tiga and Felix Da Housecat, along with the release of his debut album ‘Television Days’, Clarian makes his microCastle debut with a stunning rendition of ‘Bunk Up’. Synonymous with creating innovative, out-of-the-box productions, the Canadian artist draws on the new wave techno sensibilities of the original, reinventing them in an eccentric blend of 80's nostalgia and quirky psychedelia.

The final composition aptly reflects both artists. ‘Bunk Up’ is an elegant and evocative EP that artfully balances its nostalgic hints with a resolutely modern stimulus.

GROJ - Five Roses [Preview]

After a resoundingly successful first pack of Collecti remixes, Sharam is back with the second installment, and this time it's a Swiss double-header. First up is Zürich-based Animal Trainer, known for their deep and melodic take on techno, who reworked Sharam's 'Napoli' into an entirely new beast. The guys lifted the original's catchy acid riff and wove it into a complex tapestry of beautiful and ethereal melodies. Swirling synth leads and lush pads create a sonic atmosphere that transports listeners to another dimension, one where beauty and darkness coexist peacefully.
