Tap Newo is a producer, DJ, and studio engineer from Los Angeles who has been active since 2016. Certified in Pro Tools, he brings his eccentric style to the world of techno with original sound design opting for a more math-based approach in the studio. His music has been featured on outlets such as Mixmag Spain, XLR8R, HATE Lab, Data Transmission, and Circuit Arizona. He also recently provided support for the 6am Octopus Warehouse series with Sian in July.

Techno Mixtape 2 is 8 original tracks mixed down analog on an API console at Big Bad Sound recording studio. All of these further define my style as an artist in the LA scene. Taking influence by modern warehouse techno as well as mid-2000's minimal, electro, house, hip hop, and of course artists like Sian & Deadmau5.

Deep Therapy is a techno label based in Canada, and its new release features remixes from The YellowHeads and Sam WOLFE alongside original tracks by Karim Alkhayat.

Karim Alkhayat is a Syrian artist who along with previous releases on Deep Therapy, has also featured on the likes of Codex, Reload, Orange Recordings and Say What? Currently based in Dubai, he is a regular performer at many of the country's top clubs and festivals.

The YellowHeads had previously worked with Karim Alkhayat when they signed him to their label Reload, but this time, the duo of Spanish techno titans are remixing his music. Regularly located inside Beatport's Top 10 techno tracks, the guys have released music on imprints including Kraftek, Filth on Acid, We Are The Brave, Octopus and Suara.

"The Last Trip" opens the release with its fluttering synths, rumbling bassline and pounding kick drum. Leading towards an epic breakdown it builds dramatic tension before reaching a crescendo when the percussion slams back in.

Track two is The YellowHeads remix of The Last Trip, which strips back the track to its core elements to focus on the kick drum and dark atmospherics. Building suspense, this sinister version unleashes a ferocious barrage that's set to light up the dance floor with frenzied excitement.

In the first track 'Automatic Response', the vibe is established by a steady bass line and hypnotic bleep sequences that are ensuring high pressure energy. Continuing with 'Way Out', where a wide landscape is created through the use of well crafted sound design elements, juxtaposed to a minimalistic 909 groove.

With 'Ufo Memory', Rosati is diving into alien realms, blending atmospheric UFO textures with heavily saturated drum patterns, creating a dark, pumping, and futuristic mood. In 'Feeling', the focus shifts to the late 90s era, where a story of freedom is told through the appearance of percussive loops, funky bass lines and pad melodies.

Inside the record there is also a digital bonus 'Time Tunnel': a melodic electro journey that transports the listener into a robo-dystopic, yet hopeful, future.

With this first release, Global Pulse lays the ground for a promising series that will push the envelopes of Techno, promising a platform focused on sustainability and authenticity.

Premiere: Rosati - Ufo Memory [GP01]

For the 6th Frenzy instalment, we’re hitting close to home as residents Beau Didier & Isaiah step in. Although these stars on the rise need little to no introduction, it feels like the right moment to have a moment to shed light on the ethos of this Dutch-producing duo. Both having roots in the Dutch rave scene, they carved out a true-to-the-core approach to techno, becoming highly functional to keep dancefloors around the globe rolling without any stop to it. They deliver a 6-track storyline that lives up to that craft including remixes by Italian Hertz Collision & Belgium techno-pioneer Steve Redhead.

‘Workin’ introduces the A-side and sets the scene for the EP with vibey rhythms and blissful vocals. The ‘Change’ gets naughty with sway-induced low-ends and striking highs sure to make hips shake across the dancefloor. Landing down from up-high energy, Hertz Collision delivers an atmospheric remix with hypnotic elements and a darker touch. On the B-side, the two residents take over the steering wheel again, which can be felt immediately. ‘Fusion’ is a track that takes repetitive motion to another level, the type of track that makes you stay longer in the morning hours. To close off with elegance - ‘CD-Rom’ elevates to gracious states with enchanting spheres and spells.

Adding another dimension to it all, Steve Redhead delivers two remixes of which one is a digital bonus. Words can’t live up to the force, this is a transition back to the 00s hard techno era.
