TimeKube returns to Kneaded Pains with his latest single 'TAZUMAL,' backed by a driving remix from Luis Miranda.

TimeKube has been making waves since his last appearance on the label, with releases on esteemed imprints such as Undertone Music and Union Three.

Within the 'TAZUMAL' single, TimeKube unleashes two raw cuts pulsating with groovy beats and dark moody textures, whilst Luis Miranda (EI8HT/Tronic) drops a deep pummelling remix to complete a class package.

Polish live performer, artist, and curator DEAS is set to release his debut on Planet Rhythm on April 19th with "Formation" EP. Known for his otherworldly ability to craft complex soundscapes and improvised loops, DEAS is a multitalented artist who takes pride in his unique approach to techno music.

"Formation" offers listeners a sonic journey through four meticulously crafted tracks, showcasing DEAS' signature style of clinically precise 4/4 techno and inventive groove loops. Each track demonstrates his commitment to exploring new sonic territories while staying rooted in his musical identity.

"'Formation' is a celebration of breaking out of the genre canvas. From 'house'y' sounds through dub techno to hard groove, the EP takes you on a ride, showcasing the depth and dimensionality of my art."

Each track on the EP tells a unique story, from the acidic sounds of "Basel," inspired by the Netherlands' 90s music scene, to the emotive depth of "Here," where a carefully manipulated sample serves as the backbone of the composition. "Romance" channels the energy of techno legends like Chris Liebling and Ben Sims, showcasing DEAS' versatility and reverence for the roots of the genre.

DEAS' connection to his music goes beyond the norms, as he crafts his own studio gear and even built his own DIY Roland 909 machine. His dedication to authenticity is reflected in the EP's release on vinyl, a nod to the analog roots of techno and a statement against digitally-focused trends.

Released on 3 rd May, the fifth instalment of IMF’s Hardproof VA collection features killer originals from Aero, Rove Ranger, Gareth Wild, Dajusch and Kid Riot. 

Marcel Fengler’s place within the pantheon of German techno master’s is undisputed. As one of the first residents of Berghain / Panorama Bar, Fengler has been a constant on the global circuit for over 20 years. But his influence doesn’t stop at the DJ booth. Since 2011 the Brandenburg-born sound craftsman has sought to introduce new and younger talents via his imprint Marcel Fengler Index (IMF). A commitment he doesn’t plan on stopping soon. 

Rove Ranger is a prominent name in the Stuttgart scene and founder of the Vision Ekstase party series. His HARDPROOF offering ‘Chordal’ is ironically titled, in the sense it is anything but. The melody is a somewhat caustic mix of brittle drums, heart palpitating bass and creeping effects. A subtle inclusion of a chiming string lead late on makes for the track’s most “cordial” moment, but this is soon overrun by the tenacious melody we first hear.

For this release, the duo delivers three original tracks that range from punchy dance floor grooves (Sundowner) to striking hypnotic rhythms (Babylon's Fall) that leads us to Vision, the final track of this EP that will sure lock in dance floors with the nicely layered hypnotic grooves which has become the signature sound for the young Turkish DJ/producer, Yigitoglu, and his collaborator KVTS.

One of the genre’s best, with appearances across iconic institutions and collaborations with legendary talents, he is a definitive talent. The powerful 'Upside Criminal' kicks off with hammering drums and pounding hits that create an inescapable wall of sound that will dominate dance floors of any size. There is more loopy energy to 'Sambana' with its ever more jagged synth stabs and fizzing drum textures while 'Pepper Track' is a futuristic techno workout with rattling snares and mutant synth details peeling off the straight-up groove. 'Rejected' is built around trapped vocal fragments that swirl about the mix to a disorientating effect as the high-speed drums and sheet metal synths race onwards, ‘while Ghost' closes out with a subtle sense of uplifting celebration from the synths that rise up through rusty, rickety techno grooves.

Digital Bonus 'Variation 6.1' offers another searing and funky techno stomp, once again providing an extra gem for digital purchasers.
