It’s been a while since we’ve done one of these. The last time we put together a mix for an [nstbt_podcast] was way back in October 2020 for number 59 🤯

A lot has happened since then, and a lot has changed… 

We’ve been very fortunate to be able to share so much music over these last few years, and to connect with so many people.

What only feels like 6 months ago, has somehow turned into 3 years gone in a flash 😳

“No sleep till bedtime…” turned 15 years old last month. And we had our first party in a little while to celebrate. 

We’re in the process of organising some new releases, and organising some new events that will be happening before the years end.

I know this is the space where I’m supposed to be selling myself and writing about all the things I’ve done. 

But really, this is all about you…

I get to do all of this because of you. Even when I stop, you all still send me music. You all still want to be a part of this. 

And it’s because of all that, what once started as me trying to be the person that I needed for others. Turned into all of you, being the push that I needed to become the person that I am…

And for this I am very grateful 😢

[nstbt_podcast_096] - 6head_slug

This weeks guest mix comes from the "No Sleep Till Bed Time" label and event owner 6 Head Slug.

6head_slug is a Melbourne based hardtechno DJ/Producer/Promoter, who has been bringing his own unique blend of hard and funky beats to Melbourne's dance floors over the past 18 years.

The beat of the drum and his love for music has driven him from a young age, although It wasn't until 2004 when he brought a set of turntables and his first few records, did he realize that it was what he wanted to do with his life.

Since then he has been refining his sound, and pushing forward in the hope of inspiring others, preaching that 'you don't need to change who you are to fit in in this world...'

In June of 2008 he started "No sleep till bedtime..." A series of parties catering for the harder styles of dance music, which has since played host to some of of Melbourne's best local talent, and special guest interstate DJ's.

2023 sees 6head_slug more focused than ever, as he uses his [nstbt_podcast] series and digital labels to help push the harder sounds of techno in Melbourne, and to share the sounds of Melbourne with the rest of the world!

Marco aka HT4L wurde 1997 in Zwickau geboren. Im Alter von 5 Jahren spielte er regelmäßig Keyboard. Mit 13 jahren wollte er 
allerdings mehr als nur das. Er wollte seine eigenen Tracks produzieren. Mit einem Alter von 15 Jahren begann er erstmals elektronische Musik zu produzieren. Er suchte nach einem Programm was dazu geeignet ist und kaufte sich “FL Studio”. Marco brauchte nicht lange um
seine Leidenschaft zu entdecken: “Hardtechno”. Seit 2 Jahren produziert er seine eigenen Tracks welche immer besser werden.
Seit Anfang 2017 ist er ein Mitglied im Label “SectionSeven”.

When we started this project all those years ago, we had no idea where it would lead. From supporting and showcasing local DJs, to special guest mixes from established international artists in the scene. We went in with no expectations, and here we are today, releasing a new [nstbt_podcast] consistently every 2 weeks since the start of December 2018!
