As another long year draws to it's end, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your continued support over these testing times. On behalf of all the producers and DJs involved in the numerous projects that we've undertaken over the course of 2021, we thank you.

As a token of our appreciation, we present to you our 19th release: Zyphor - Must Come To An End

A collection of 3 original tracks, and 3 remixes from some of the hardest working names in the scene right now. All are giants in their own right, but when combined they are something else entirely.

It was a collection of 4 heavy and hard hitting industrial techno tracks, with straight up street attitude. This release gained much support, and the attention of some familiar faces. So much so that it inspired them to reach out and offer their own interpretations. 

HardtraX loved the release so much, that he dropped a re-edited version of 'Flip That' in our inbox shortly after it’s release. As the name would suggest, it's a peak time heavy hardechno number, that takes all of the balls to the wall attitude of the original version, and gives it the peak time HardtraX treatment. The results speak for themselves. Mechanical, heavy, industrial, hardtechno mayhem!

The guys from Double Dynamic, who recently dropped their debut release on our label: https://nosleeptillbedtime.bandcamp.com/album/nagasaki-e-p Specifically requested for a Zyphor remix to which he happily obliged. And now, here they are returning the favour with an absolutely devastating remix of 'Bring It On'. Not for the faint of heart, this remix pulls no punches! 

Last and by no means least for the remixes, we have the abstract darkcore horrorist that is the lurking Tyrant X. Lending his production talents to the cause, he completed this remix back in 2019. This re-imagined version by Tyrant X is the stuff of nightmares. A dark and driving digital barrage of glitched out pulses and mechanical atmospheres. This is Tyrant X doing what he does best. Remixed and relentless.

The two versions of the title track showcase Zyphors diversity and productions skills that he’s developed over the last few years. Adding new textural element, layers and atmosphere. Emotive breaks whilst maintaining a controlled aggression. Zyphor has become a new beast, whilst retaining his signature sound. It’s exciting to think what these next 12months will sound like.

As for his other original track on the release, ’Past Away' was a track that was originally sent to us back in 2019 with the intention of it becoming part of a remix compilation. It underwent many changes over a period of time, and then unfortunately the project was put on hold. 
Here it finally gets to see the light of day, as it finds it’s home amongst the collection. Also featuring a very special guest on vocals, this track is heavy, and hard hitting industrial techno, everything that you’ve come to expect from a Zyphor track. 

And there we have it. The final [nstbt] release for 2021. A year that feels like it started 2 years ago, and hasn’t stopped…

There are so many things on the horizon still yet to come, loads of new projects and some brand new avenues that we are keen to explore. As we take this opportunity to reflect on all that was. And look forward to all that is yet to be, we again wish to thank you all, and to thank everyone involved in this project once again!

We don’t take any of this for granted…

These influences impressed upon heavy-weighted Hard Techno and Hardcore structures create a sound that would make proud Satan himself.  

Heavy and dark, yet powerfully tight grooves, lay a landscape for sinisterly massive and demented sound design.  Synth work as powerful as the stories being told along layered, emotionally moving, arrangements.  Heavy crowd-moving baselines and beautifully crisp percussion drive Diabolos’ uniquely intense and groovy sound.

Nordmann is a German techno legend whose productions have covered different styles of the genre – for Dark.Descent it’s of course about the industrial vibe. Five collaborative tracks, all hail the mighty bass drum. His collaboration with fellow German WEICHENTECHNIKK, the remix for AMOK & STORMTROOPER and the live jam with CIPHER (free bonus track when you buy the full album) are all in the grainy “schranz” fashion, featuring distinctly industrial style machine sounds along the rhythmic onslaught. The collaboration with BROKEN RULES and the remix for X-TENSION (a case of schizophrenia obviously) add high-pitched industrial funk style to the menu.
A tight package with a choice of sure shot floor fillers.

About Me:
6head_slug is a Melbourne based hardtechno DJ/Producer/Promoter, who has been bringing his own unique blend of hard and funky beats to Melbourne's dance floors over the past 19 years.

The beat of the drum and his love for music has driven him from a young age, although It wasn't until 2004 when he brought a set of turntables and his first few records, did he realize that it was what he wanted to do with his life.

Since then he has been refining his sound, and pushing forward in the hope of inspiring others, preaching that 'you don't need to change who you are to fit in in this world...'

In June of 2008 he started "No sleep till bedtime..." A series of parties catering for the harder styles of dance music, which has since played host to some of of Melbourne's best local talent, and special guest interstate DJ's.

2024 sees 6head_slug more focused than ever, as he uses his [nstbt_podcast] series and digital labels to help push the harder sounds of techno in Melbourne, and to share the sounds of Melbourne with the rest of the world!
