Wow! What can someone say. If anyone of you really takes the time to read my crap (thanks i appreciate) probably knows, that i had quite some troubles with inspiration and really felt like i over exceeded myself and my artistic vessel in 2k20....

So i really kept sticking more to listening and later on i had to take a complete break, step a bit back and i got to admit that i really enjoyed the off time. I was completely away from and with music, as i couldn't keep up with this intense pace and i simply wasn't able to draw any more out of that fragile "bucket" so to say.

I am really into Collaborating this year, so i put aside my (plenty of) projects and as i really befriended a few of you amazing artists out there, i got to admit, that it was (no offense towards any other closer friends here) the biggest impact for me, when my dear @texmex-shaman suddenly sent me this first raw version of the first third of what i can present to you today.....

It took me quite some time to get into it, but then it evolved, it grew into this wonderful thing here and i think it cured me... kinda... After busy months and going (wild again) with the arts for the cover to try to also convey the feeling into an image to show it to you, my fellow soundcloud friends and all other people....

..., it guided me to the point where i can now say "Here we are. This is it for me, after a long break to be able to upload again something where i put so much love and creativity and musical spirit into"...... This is also a declaration of love to Jim Morrison and his Spiritualty and his Native American Spirit......

Thank you for staying here with me my friends and its always so great to experience all this and this community and passion and love for music and so much more!

Way Out Here ft. Night Owl - collab with TexMex Shaman

Hello Folks!

Been quite some time, but being slow, doesn't gladly result in no productivity at all. Haha! After my Collab with @texmex-shaman (thanks again brother for this awesome experience), i was rummaging unfinished projects and thought about "whats next?". I found plenty of stuff which craves for my attention, but too close on the timeline with our first summer vacation at my parents in laws place.

So i came to the usual little drill , like "What equipment will i take with me" ,  "How will it be?" (in terms of my usual unique work and creativity flow) , and "Will i be able to do anything in the usual FY style at all?"...... turns out it was a fast super week there with a lot of various ventures, activities and wonderful weather!

I also used the possibility a few times to take the chosen stuff (i did go for the minimal setup as minimal can be) out in the garden, sat down summerstyle with a cold alc-free Radler and just worked in my DAW with self-built synths and a Studio One "Impact XT" drum preset which i manipulated and bent into the way i wanted it to be. Comparable with the first track you build in the Andrew Huang course, i went full electronic and after that week i had like 90% of it!! 

I have to thank my dear friend TexMex Shaman who did pre-listen ALOT and also encouraged me to build that intro (which took me quite a while to find the right samples, shape them and do some automations and stereo field sweeps - awesome process to push myself into this).

Going mad with the Visual was also predictable... most of you who know me by now, would've expected that, i guess? I love that process, like you have that music and it creates an audible image in your brain, but adding something as close as you want it to look like with a cover, is a complete different and somewhat relaxing process to me. 3 weeks of alot of work and manipulations. So much new stuff i did learn!

We're soon at the end of this summer and 2021 feels already passing way too fast and there is so much music to listen and also to continue working on.

Commander Fullyard was cruising through the Peep Durple system when the voice of Admiral Krank came in over the radio. It had to be done. One Colonel Hardy had turned renegade, establishing his own fiefdom among the Simmippians. According to the highly classified intelligence wire, Hardy had committed the highest crimes against groove, outlawing shuffle beats of all kinds and limiting musical expression to tonedeaf folk music. 

And now the swampy assignment: Operation Mango Wood. Hardy must be brought to justice or eliminated immediately. Was there any way out of it? Were there not several other officers capable of carrying it out? Didn’t Krank owe him a favor or two? Did the Commander need to remind the Admiral of how he came to his rescue in Operation Bass Guitar Part Rearrangement? Nothing doing. These orders came directly from Her Majesty Herself. She wanted- nay, demanded- that Commander Fullyard do the job.

I thank the Admiral for this opportunity! I, Cmd. Fullyard, fully obeying his will from now on, accepted the new supreme command in regards to any further additional space missions satisfying the highly royal needs of her Majesty! May she survive us all and may her burial chamber-like sten... ermmm sme... errrrmmmmm ..... FRAGRANCE never dissipate!

This one was a real journey and along with the other collab i did with the mighty @texmex-shaman. The Admiral (@user-766619428) sent me the base and groovy drum pattern long long ago, early 2021, and it took quite some time to find the initial spark to go mad, but then it was a real blast. Kinda started sampling the whole thing and deformed it into something i never thought it would sound like. Recorded some stuff in the flat  (little child drum, etc.) and refined some axe-chops from our woodwork session early in 2021 along with some VOX and other little space pixie dust, b3 vst and synths. Later on he added the amazing guitars and additional fx - me finally trying to squeeze everything into the mix. Thank you so much for doing this with me. I hope this will be not the last one!

I also want to give credit to my parents in law and my love, which were so supportive in finding the right place for the shoot and helping me with my artistic vision to come true. This was quite a wild ride and it couldn't have been done all by myself! (That little forest fishpond was cold af... haha)

Grebenstein and Seefried – radical autodidact and trained musicians – have been working together for 6 years between longer periods of rest, intensive musical output emerged in short and concentrated sessions. A stripped back way of working, with only one drum machine, one synthesizer, and one voice, is reflected in the minimalistic and uncompromising songs they produce. At the end of 2019, in the year of the label’s 25th anniversary, they will be back on Regis’ Downwards Records with their new release “Raging Tender“.
