Third Island is a post metal band formed in 2015 and based in Ireland. Drawing from a wide array of influences including doom, post rock, shoegaze, sludge, and stoner rock, the band aims to create a unique sound blending huge guitars tones and dark atmospheres.

The band is made up of multi-instrumentalists Liam O’Connor, John Quill, and Seamus Quaid.

In the summer of 2016 Third Island released their debut EP “Dusk”. Based on themes of nightmares and sleep disorders, the EP aims to bring the listener on a journey through insomnia and fear.

Third Island is currently writing new material, promoting the EP, and preparing for live shows.

The boys from 6OCK hail from the Gold Coast Australia and started jamming together in late 2021, however they have played in bands together in some form since the early 00s. Some of those include The Crisis Therapy, Hunt Muerto, Post-Life Disorder, Dreamkillers, Sarah Joh and more. 

The 6OCK sound is generally of the heavy sludgy variety, and reflects the wide range of influences that have accumulated in their collective decades of experience. It is via straight up walls of doom-laden riffs, off-kilter jarring noise and atmospheric post-metal passages, that they express poignant and/or twisted topics and feelings, personal or otherwise. 

In late ’22 the band started recording songs for an upcoming release. The drums were tracked at Core studios with Nick Carpenter, while the rest of instruments and vocals have been recorded and mixed by the band at their own ‘Stu Stu Studio’. The debut EP is set for release in April/May this year, with live shows starting mid winter.
