Street Lurkin is not your run of the mill DJ/Production duo. Formed in 2010 by Atlanta's own Ryan Purcell and Lee Bates, this duo set out to turn dance floors into mosh pits (a common occurrence, actually). In no time, Street Lurkin was supporting acts such as A-Trak, Kid Sister, Le Castle Vania, Treasure Fingers, Borgore, and Steve Aoki. Also sporting a residency at Atlanta's hottest dance party, FUCK YESSS (brainchild of DJ/Producer Le Castle Vania) , Street Lurkin is here to turn up the distortion, crank up the bass, and sucker-punch the eardrums.

The Hold Your Breath EP is, for lack of better words, diverse. The title track stands apart from the rest by utilizing the power of intricate melodies, and lush soundscapes to craft a beautiful, fragile feeling. Thunderbeak uses fast paced rhythmic mayhem to induce a wild frenzy of unadulterated fun. Rainbow Necklace, the most straightforward tune on this release, thrives by bringing in the bouncy festival approach to electro-house. Respectively, the remixes take each track to new heights and perspectives only to be expected from the likes of Computer Club (of Evol Intent fame), Dirt Monkey, and The Bolivian Marching Affair. Popeska is a new artist and really proved his legitimacy in this release. All In all you have a well rounded, hard hitting, and genuine debut release as the result.
