J. Roosevelt's latest single “Firefly Canyon” was inspired by many sunset hikes, morning drives, and hazey afternoons. It’s a combination of synths and live instruments, nature sounds recorded from various locations, and a few late nights arranging in my home studio. Following up on my last single ‘Sandalwood’ which has accumulated over 6 million streams to date,  my main goals were to compose a song that told a story, and to progress as a musician—inching myself into that uncomfortable space of releasing another song into the world.
