Anima is the new EP of Berlin based multi instrumentalist and music producer Tom Willems (TCV @tcvbln).

The five tracks comprising the record showcase digitally heavy, brute soundscapes full of uncompromising rhythm and melody. Drawing inspiration from classic genres like gabber and industrial, TCV articulates a sound that is highly abrasive but often surprises with poetic verity.

As the track names indicate, the record conceptually is concerned with the human body and its perception as something which can be both fragile and powerful. TCV unveils, that a traumatising phase of his life, inspired him to process his impressions of lifelessness being inhabited by machine-power. Witnessing how new wealth and vitality is being pumped into a corpus made him fascinate about this passive recreation. The idea of a life depending on mechanical forces, repeating and recovering, is echoing through his acoustic concept. Each track thereby communicates a different stage of a physical transitioning, thus a metamorphosis in whole.

Tacto: The Departure is a sound work/music album by wellsgoodness (Inwoo Jung @inwoojung) corresponding to the Interactive LARP performance by Paula Pedraza which carries the same name and was originally drafted between 2021 and 2022. The project thematizes the situation of upcoming death and brings attention to the act of palliative care.
The album consists of 8 separate tracks which create a somewhat liminal almost ghostly atmosphere that manages to capture the temporal quality of end-of-life situatedness in sound. Inwoo Jung uses sampling, sound collaging and audio-fx processing techniques to achieve a clearly plunderphonic aesthetic which seems less concerned with recognizability than with treating audio as a material foundation in order to explore the vast ontological spectrum of human existence in between being, becoming, leaving and returning.

Tacto: The Departure by Wellsgoodness

As light through water recalls the phenomenon of refraction: the bending of light as it passes from one transparent medium into another.
When light refracts in water, submerged objects appear to be both distorted and closer than they really are. While this could be simply interpreted as an illusion, refraction is also a phenomenon that makes room for possibilities, imagination and for experiencing things differently. 

Playing with the concepts of proximity and illusion, the artist conveys what is a personal fascination into their own use of the stereo field, reverbs and processing of sounds. As an object that shifts in shape when in contact with a different material, the artist embraces a position of openness and vulnerability towards their surroundings. They allow themselves to change and evolve through the dynamic encounter with external elements and forces. 

Their third studio EP as light through water marks an evolution is style and sonic complexity. Musically, the EP presents a blend of trance-y high pitched synths as hibernated euphoria, focusing on filling the spectrum almost overwhelmingly: dreamy atmospheres alternate raw kicks, sharp leading synths and weightless textures.

Within a complex interplay between religion and queerness, akïi unveils "Non siamo angeli abbiamo un corpo," which translates from Italian to signify, "we are not angels, we have a body." This EP has drawn inspiration from the project "Santa Carne," curated by Teatro della Cenere in Sicily.
The sound is defined by piercing sounds and glitches, mirroring the poignant clash of contrasts, encapsulating a spectrum of human experience.
akïi' responses to the ever-evolving world, where opposing ideals within one's own identity often collide. In a world that evolves at different speeds within the same spaces, the emergence of multifaceted identities becomes an anticipated journey. "I started making this album a year ago, feels like 5 years ago, also feels like a week ago at times. 
I feel very uncomfortable having to explain what it's about or what inspired my process, i also hate reading about what inspired other people to do their shit, since it crushes my idea of what their work is about almost every time. 
It took me less than two months to produce my previous album, "Music For Fast Rental Cars". 
With this piece, it's been over a year and in my mind, I'm still not even getting close to finishing it, if such a state exists. 

What i've been experiencing over that time period ranges from extreme jealousy, overwhelming anger, a steady anxious feeling of not being good enough to present my real self to the world, and the subjective certainty of being all alone and unloved, over manic episodes of staying up 48 hours, working all day and night and getting high off sleep deprivation, to moments of absolute clarity, unconditional love and experiences of feeling connected to myself and my surroundings in a way i wouldn't want to explain in words. 

This last year was the worst and best i ever had. 
It was bringing up both trauma and joy, trouble and solution. 
So does the album. 

It does not contain music i would bang over a car system, bluetooth speakers, at a party or in social situations generally. 
It's music to listen to on headphones, on a two hour nightbus ride from one end of the city to another, or on a night flight. 
It's music for being on the way in my eyes. Uncertain music. 

It features 11 tracks plus one and has a total length of 78:16 minutes. 
I produced it almost entirely by myself, with feature appearences from

I'm using uncleared samples on every track. 
I mixed and mastered the album myself. 
The album artwork was made by Ausup.

Archaeologies of Destruction is a meditation on decay, vacancy, latent potential, and dormant life. Unfolding as both a sonic and socio spatial reflection, it gathers material recorded over two years during the production of a hybrid documentary project of the same title. Condensed into a single long-form piece, these recordings peer and listen inside some of the thousands of derelict buildings scattered across Lisbon and its peripheral neighbourhoods, a city now enduring an acute housing crisis.

Obscenely empty, left to rot, these structures shelter sonic micro-ecosystems within their crumbling walls. Recorded, processed, and amplified live in situ, they resonate with abandonment and void – yet also point toward hidden life, availability, and the possibility of reuse.

Time passed by so quickly...one year ago our previous sampler / compilation showed up. Meanwhile many things have changed, releases have been made, friends came and went, climates are morphing within our fuzzy circle – the world outside is flippin’ as well and always has surprises down pat.
We got to know many people, artists, likeminded ones, and friends all over the world (-wide-net).
Talented creators, ambitious rookies, prolific professionals... they all contribute to the form of co-laboration in the context of sound as an including, non-exclusive medium and workflow.
Embracing divergent characters, scenes, styles and means of expressions to build up a wide network of asymmetry is our goal and ideal. Contrast, diversity, anomaly and variance are words that seem congruent with our mode of interest in the world of sound and expression; thus 76666 must be seen less as a label, than as a linking parque. Recollecting polyamorous habits is what we can learn from music by meditating on its communicative force.
Not being slave to the rave whilst not sliding into academical creeds, but trying to ride the Qi...
We want to thank all participants, supporters and friends who constantly give advice and reinforcement to the process of  finding common-isms in the love of peculiarities and frictions!
It’s not about making monetary profit; the revenue lies in the state of the interworld, in being connected and sharing energy, motivation and to exchange possibilities. To emphasize and transform this idea, all the revenues from this compilation will be shared to SeaWatch to particularly support the people in need on the greek islands and the Mediterranean Sea. We‘d like to keep this approach: to share at least a part of the revenues with those, who can’t afford our privileges.
