Can you tell I'm a Pink Floyd Fan?  Experimenting with room tones, a pedal board, an old amp, and a bunch of street recordings.  The only microphone used was a zoom H1 essentials.  (and added some synths and keys in Logic Later).  I think this playlist of "Clusters" will appeal to Pink Floyd meets Bill Frisell fans.  Long live guitar playing!!

Clusters

I recently discovered a love for analog pedals, and this is an experiment.  I recorded this straight from the amp with a zoom h1 essentials.  Opened in Logic Pro and added the synth pad via the musical typing keyboard.   No added effects on Logic Pro, other than the synth pad defaults.  (I believe it was the cloud shimmer pad or something like).   This is the start of documenting weird, experimental sounds.  The distortion fuzz and overdrive are three different pedals by tc electronic: the honey pot, the grand magus, and the cinders overdrive -- they go into a choka tremolo and then a skyfurfer reverb on plate mode - plugged in into an old behringer analog modeling amp the V-tone GM110.  Settings on the amp: tweet, us speakers.  No drive (gain) master volume at about 5, bass mid and treble at about 5.   The guitar used is a SANTANA SE with a SD distortion pickup in the neck (which I never cared for much until last night). ----

This time, on the same long guitar pedaling experiments I added more street recordings, this time at a plane show.  Added again a synth pad with Logic Pro's Alchemy.


Cluster Two.

Cluster Three- -- continuation of layering textures so now with the same process I am chopping a 28 minute long recording of playing with pedalboard on a small amp and then layering--- a base of a recording at an outside event with planes.  Overlapped the recorded guitar with pedals and then added the electric piano via a small midi controller keyboard.   Played without a score, just following whatever the guitar was doing.  Free style no timing nor click tracks.  Thanks for clicking!  Recorded with very minimal gear on July 2025.

Ambient western instrumentals. Reverb-soaked guitar, late-night pedalboard musings, and echoes of Gilmour and Frisell.
