Dirty Gibson Recipe

2 1/2 ounces gin
3/4 ounce pickled cocktail onion brine
1/4 ounce dry vermouth
Pickled cocktail onions for garnish

Pour all ingredients over ice in a cocktail shaker and stir well (don't shake). Strain into a martini or coupe glass and stab 2 or 3 cocktail onions with a toothpick as a garnish.

It begins with a shriek — not of pain, but of resurrection. Jani Kaunis is back, clawing his way through the static with a howl that splits the frost.

Kothalon Rummut doesn’t ask for your attention — it takes it, with teeth bared and drums pounding like hooves across frozen ground.

This is the sound of revenants running. Fast. Unyielding. As if the grave spat him out too soon.

Where Tappava Tie trudged through sorrow and shadow, Kothalon Rummut is pure pursuit — rautalanka with a war cry. The guitars churn like rusted engines, Puukot flashing in rhythm, while the beat drives forward like something that refuses to stop — or be stopped.

It’s vivid. It’s violent. It’s vital.

Jani Kaunis didn’t survive. He escaped.

The gospel now runs faster than death.


Kohtalon Rummut

A dirge-like darksynth epic that hits like a final, unforgettable sigh. Swelling minor-key synth chords form a heart-piercing progression, while weeping electro-guitar riffs weave through the arrangement, bending with sorrow and drenched in cascading delay.

Take it in Stride

With Memorial Day in the rear-view mirror and the hottest days of summer rapidly approaching, I thought it would be the perfect time to experiment with some surf rock. For this project I decided to rework an acoustic instrumental I wrote, entitled Telluride, which was inspired by a hiking trip in Colorado. I originally envisioned a surfy western vibe across between the Ventures and Ennio Morricone. But by the time I finished, I ended up with something that sounds more like the soundtrack to a surfing-spy movie. After debating appropriate titles, my wife suggested naming the song after the 1966 Fender Coronado II featured prominently on the song. This frequently underrated, forgotten, and occasionally-maligned guitar really is the star of the track, so the idea resonated with me.
