Random Shifts consists of local artists who love getting together and making music from the feel of the atmosphere. I record our jams, and mix stuff out of them.

Live noises that sound like stuff looks like...

... It all went a bit wizzle fuzzy pop for a bit and then there were these herds of space goats nibbelling, always nibeling and a spot of nudging, but mostly nibbeling with slightly different spellings which would of been confusing if we could read but being totally blind it made not a jot of difference. And then there were these rainbows, really loud and larey and biffing into things so that everything was jingly and kinda of soft round the edges with bits of dangly fluff. The Emus were the worst though, really miserable with big fringes, one had a big minge that was well dark and cried a lot, we had to ask them to leave especially cos we were expecting a very posh leaf who might or might not have had some good contacts in the electrical circuirty department, never turned up in the end and we had to order a selection of sedimentary rocks instead. The weather was nice and sat in a corner telling stories to the kids and making tea for everyone except the bees who's legs were not really suitable and you had to hack your way through them just to move around but no one had thought to brought brung bring a machette so we had to use nuttella chocolate spread instead. Phew, what a pollarver, or it may have been a pullover cos i got sweaty and it felt a bit prickly but 7 rodents all told me simultaneously that i was imagining it so obviously i didnt believe them and carried on as if nothing had happened which confused everyone and we had to start again.

With a profound love and passion for deep house sounds, and due to an increasing stream of high calibre deep house demos simply landing on his doorstep, Alexander Fog established a sister label for TMR in 2011: Darkstar. Whereas TMR carries uplifting tech and tech house tunes, Darkstar is an outlet - as the name of the label indicates - for the darker side of techno and moody deep house where quality prevails over quantity; a characteristic trade mark which Alexander Fog is synonym for and grew accustomed to.   

The newly established Darkstar lab rapidly resulted in developing upcoming talents such as Gabryel Casse, Lenny Soprano, Groovesend and Rob Small amongst others, who constantly deliver Darkstar prime cuts next to the occasional Alexander Fog tune. 

In October 2011, the two labels joined in one steaming hot showcase during the Amsterdam Dance Event where both TMR and Darkstar presented Alexander’s musical vision to both clubbers as well as the international music industry, in association with 7 Stars Music.  


Halcyon Road are an English indie band formed in 2010 in Ibiza by lead vocalist Leanne Chilton and guitarist Phil Dobie.  Halcyon Road´s most popular track to date is ´Turning Into You´. Their most recent track, ´Black Clouds´ represents the direction they are heading towards as they work on songs for their debut album.
