         Or “LROC”, a fitting acronym devised of four key words for anyone who wants to get ahead in life. LROC is also an MC, inspiring his city with the way he seamlessly captures the essence of his community (Tacoma, WA) and puts it directly on wax. The Leader of Tacoma’s “Gritty Gang Music Group” is ensuring that his fan’s appetites are sufficed with his newest release “Everybody Eats 2”, giving the people of the Pacific Northwest a soundtrack to the Fall and Winter seasons; seamlessly setting the bar very high for any rapper that wants to drop a project at the tail end of 2014. The Internet has responded accordingly with the Mixtape’s reviews averaging 5-stars on datpiff.com and download numbers are steadily climbing every day. A follow up to the aptly named “EBE/ Everybody Eats” finds LROC establishing a new chapter along his journey. A young man who navigates his way through the ups and downs of street life and drug culture. Narrating the tales of fast women, fallen comrades, and the struggle a man must sacrifice for the success he desires. As a listener you can’t help but realize “Damn, this guy has been through some shit”.
         
          The obstacles of an urban lifestyle have become easier to surpass, as he’s been able to recruit and construct a strong team who all share the same goal: Work together and everyone will succeed. Which is why he makes one thing clear from the start of the tape to the end, if you’re with me I will not let you down – no mouths will go unfed - Everybody Eats. The tape is laced with originals as well as covers, and features guest appearances by artists, affiliates, fans, and local business leaders who give a true to life dialogue throughout; reassuring the listeners that this in fact a special moment for North West Hip Hop and we not only want, but NEED a poster boy to carry the flag for an area that has been otherwise overlooked. With much diversity in the track selection, one thing still remains evident; LROC is the voice of the streets. A man who’s accepted in every circle of the city because they know what he’s doing; he’s putting out good music and telling the truth, two things that most rappers find it hard to accomplish. Hype for EBE2 gradually started to build at the beginning of this summer as LROC displayed his talents during multiple live shows and appearances all over the state of Washington, whether as a guest artist or headliner he and his GGMG artists have capitalized on every opportunity that they’ve received, developing rapport with a growing fan base that stretches across the Pacific Northwest. The Gritty Gang is giving the public a steady warm-up before the release of LROC’s Album “MVIII” with strategically timed releases of original music from their top talent.
         
        Mixtape releases from his GGMG signees James Madison, Bishop Bishop, Hot Tamale, DMite & Key Calhoun are sure to help establish the new kids (artists) on the block while also building steam for LROC to drop his much-anticipated album. We’ll see how this transition to running plays in the rap game plays out, LROC seems confident that running a triangle offense will put food on his plate and ensure that Everybody Eats (2).
