Born and raised in Gardena, CA during an era where gangsta rap was beginning to emerge, 7th Letter had the influences of NWA, DJ Quik and Tupac as well as the soulfulness of James Brown, Johnny Guitar Watson and Willie Hutch embedded in him at an early age. Maintaining that soulful ear that comes from his southern roots, he has been able to capture that exact feel by implementing his own west coast persona to provide that one of a kind style that cannot be duplicated. Growing up in a area where people normally don’t make it out, his musical talents finally began to show when he left California at the age of 17 to pursue Business Marketing at Texas Southern University in the heart of 3rd Ward Houston, TX. Quickly surrounding himself around other musical talents such as The Frontman and Wes Coas, 7th Letter has grown with his music production on numerous projects that include, The Recession, Great Western Form, Can’t Knoc The Wes, I’m Done Talking, Paper Planes, The Undergraduate Mixtape, Vantage Point 86 and Definition Of Cool. He produced Wes Coas single, “Beautiful Mind” featuring Zro, which garnered a lot of online attention.
