With Guy J’s eagerly anticipated third artist album drawing ever closer on John Digweed’s Bedrock Records, the first offering is delivered in the form of three intricately crafted productions titled ‘Nirvana’.

Forever drawing influence from contrasting styles, genres and concepts, Guy J has become synonymous with creating innovative and out of the box productions such as ‘1000 Words’ which received an array of solid reviews from leading publications within the music industry. Following releases from top-flight labels including Knee Deep In Sound and Hot Creations, James Solace delivers the ‘Ghost Town EP’, a collection of four club tracks that span the deeper corners of the electronic spectrum.
 
James drives in with ‘Universal’, a 4/4 house cut that blurs the lines between multiple dance genres while maintaining a stylish, stripped-back feel. A pacey analog drum groove rides under tremulating synth pads and glossy arpeggios. ‘Ghost Town’ follows with delightful stacks of bright percussion over a deep-cut kick. Lopassed chords throb underneath while James throws us deeper into his hypnotic grooves with incisions of cowbell rhythms that offset the central pulse.
 
‘Spectral’ contrasts immersive ambient textures with diligent kicks and bright, splashy open hi-hats. Layering in ripping synth layers across a mesmerizing beat of effective synth chord stabs. James closes the record with the super percussive, experimental track ‘Thoughts’. His delicate layers of though-conscious ethnic sampling meet the hedonistic polyrhythms from the swathes of interlocking percussion instruments.

Tone Depth - ID (First Time I Met House)

This is the second installment around dubspeeka’s ambient album ‘Valley of The Kings’ to be released on March 19th. dubspeeka has released on the label several times over the last years, and we’re really excited to present his first LP on LNOE. The second single off the record titled Khepri is out on the 5th March alongside a remix by label boss Sasha.

‘Khepri’ reveals more about dubspeeka’s upcoming album, showing more of a deeper side to the record. The track gives a strong sense of space and the vocal cuts through like an angel in a big cavern. It’s a perfect little peak on the contrasts being displayed in the sonic character of the full record.

Sasha’s rework calibrates the track through a different realm by injecting a dance floor approach. The rework shows off the main qualities of the original perfectly while creating a totally different space of mind. Combining these qualities, the outcome very energetic and yet delicate in its melodical approach. This one is sure to raise some hands when the clubs open up!
