We are overjoyed to announce the next candidate for our label-catalogue after Kerri Chandlers "The Watergate Files" EP. New Watergate resident Matthias Meyer was recently added to our booking agency - his debut on Watergate Records is called "Becuz" and hereby it immediately answers every potential question.

The eponymous Track has the atmospheric density of an approaching storm front that discharges into epic organ- hooks and shredded vocals. Appropriate to that the B-side begins with "November Rain", a beat-driven techno- anthem with foggy synth-spheres and "closed eyes"-attitude. Mario Basanovs a.k.a. Ten Walls' interpretation has more contours and a percussive touch that keeps the mood of the original unchanged: November rain in a tropical rainforest. An astonishing EP with two great tracks and a wonderful remix. "Becuz" EP will be released on May 12th on vinyl and digital.

A dance music auteur with a decade-spanning career under his belt, MACEO PLEX is a man with many faces, having successfully rebranded global floors since the early noughties under various monickers, including his well-known Maetrik guise. But with power comes responsibility, as they say, and if there's one producer constantly hitting the right balance between underground antics and overground charade, it's the US-bred, Barcelona-based artist.
