We have done it, the well known Berlin club Ritter Butzke is starting its own record label!
First up is longtime resident Mario Aureo and his swiss brother in arms Manuel Moreno, who has found a home as resident of Zurich's legendary Hive Club.
The title track “Autumn Bell” is a sub and lead bass driven Houser, whose emotive pads and hypnotic vocals will stay in your head long after you have left the club.
The dub version of “Autumn Bell” is an altogether more reduced and focussed affair, that relies on the groove but without losing the energy of the original.
The flip side, “Arosis” is a deeper track with string variations and filter progressions but nevertheless a more restrained feel, which makes this track playable at any time, day or night.
Bachstelzen old hand and URSL co-founder Sebo is on remix duty, he’s picking up the theme in a more minimal manner and crafts a sound world of his own, through additional vocals and varied arrangement. 
Now that the foundations are laid, watch out for further releases from artists out of the Ritter Butzke sphere.

Es ist geschafft - Der wohlbekannte Berliner Club Ritter Butzke startet sein hauseigenes Plattenlabel!
Den Anfang machen der langjährige Resident Mario Aureo und sein Schweizer Kollege Manuel Moreno, welcher im legendären Hive Club in Zürich sein zu Hause gefunden hat.
Der Titeltrack "Autumn Bell" ist ein durch prägnante Sub- und lange Lead-Bässe getragener House-Track, der vor Allem durch die eingängigen Vocals und seine atmosphärischen Pads, auch noch nach einer langen umtriebigen Clubnacht, im Gedächtnis bleibt.
Die Dub Version von "Autumn Bell" ist dahingehend etwas reduzierter und fokussiert sich auf den Groove, ohne dass dabei die Energie des Originals auf der Strecke bleibt.
Die B-Seite ist mit "Arosis" etwas deeper gehalten und besticht, trotz vieler String-Variationen und Filterverläufen, durch seine unaufgeregte Grundstimmung, die den Track fast zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit spielbar macht.
Dazu gesellt sich ein Remix von Bachstelzen-Urgestein und URSL-Mitbegründer Sebo, der das Thema etwas minimalistischer aufgreift und durch zusätzliche Vocals und ein sehr abwechslungsreiches Arrangement eine ganz eigene Sound-Welt, in der man sich wunderbar verlieren kann, erzeugt.
Der Grundstein ist somit gelegt und in den nächsten Monaten werden weitere spannende Veröffentlichungen von Künstlern aus dem Ritter Butzke Umfeld folgen.

September 9th marks the official release of ‘Make You Do’ from Welsh house music producer ‘Sion.’ This hot new track will be the 20-year-olds debut on Chase & Status’s multi-genre label MTA Records.

Sion Elliot has already received wide acclaim with support from Solomun, Kolombo, Kreature, Annie Mac and more; releasing a well received series of free downloads via his SoundCloud. These include ‘I Can’t Stop’, ‘He Got Game’ and his ‘Hipster Lean’ remix of Nate Dogg’s ‘Gangsta Walk’ which cleverly fuses Deep House with old school Hip Hop.

Sion’s latest track stays true to form, featuring classic deep house elements and immaculately produced cool electro synths. These are effectively underpinned by a dark hypnotic bassline, a catchy vocal sample and a clean thumping kick/snare beat. To accompany the release, MTA have drafted in Belgium producer Kolombo and rising underground star Markas who both lay down a mix of Sion's club ready record 'Make You Do'.

‘Make You Do’ has already been featured as the opening track in ‘Chase & Status Present MTA’ mix and Cover CD for Mixmag in February and has been played out by a host of big names including Skream in his B2B with Artwork in the Boiler Room set in March and Seth Troxler, who dropped it this summer at Sands in Ibiza. With a large amount of gigs lines up across Europe, Sion is rapidly becoming one of the finest new artists of 2013.

One of Perc’s all-time favourite tracks returns on Perc Trax Ltd, an imprint purposely created for reissues and collaborative projects. Originally released in 1993 as part of Thomas Heckmann’s ‘Drax Three’ EP on his own Trope Recordings label, it featured on Carl Cox’s seminal F.A.C.T. mix CD and alongside ‘Amphetamine’ has become one of the biggest tracks of Heckmann’s career. This 12" features three new remixes, all of which twist 'Phosphene' into something new whilst keeping the forward facing attitude of the original in place.

Opening up proceedings are Perc & Truss, hot on the heels of their recent sets at Awakenings and their second EP ‘Two Hundred’. Built upon one of their trademark kick and bass assaults the mix has been a highlight of their sets for months. On the B-side AnD deliver something very different to their previous releases, fusing punk drums with overdriven monosynths, making their forthcoming debut album even more of a mouth-watering prospect. Closing the record is The Exaltics who brings a slice of true analogue electro to Perc Trax with a remix which is one of the highlights of Perc’s forthcoming mix CD.

The organisers decided to release a compilation for a start: AGENT!, Danny Serrano, M.in, Hermanez and Macromism contribute to the collection’s first part; ICS, Kasbah Zoo, Rhadow, Ruben Mandolini and Sascha Riot will be featured on the second disc of “We Are One”. The production is due to be released on October 6th, 2014, and November 3rd, 2014– digitally and in stores.

Rhadow - Arcade

Gathaspar has been making a name for himself based on his productions for labels like Thema and Freude am Tanzen as well as his live sets (“I’m not a DJ”) in some of Berlin’s most respected spots like Panorama Bar and Watergate. AMAM can’t resist his detail-oriented grooves, either, so now we’re jumping in on the action, releasing the Vaporizer EP.

The title track is a twisting, churning concoction with low-end murk swirling underneath pristine percussion to form a whirlpool on the dancefloor. Although it’s built on subtlety, “Vaporizer” is as threatening as its name implies, ready to zap you into a gaseous state at any moment. Next, “Ocelot 29” turns up the heat a notch, offering more overt, guttural oomph as well as a familiar human voice to latch onto. But make no mistake, there’s nothing basic about this track, with its atypical rhythmic patterns that unfold over unpredictable chord progressions. 

If those two cuts aren’t weird enough, check out the remixes: Playhouse veteran Lowtec delivers a mangled version of “Ocelot 29” that sounds like a melting VHS cassette, suggesting a new subgenre, Quaalude House. Then OstGut Ton stalwart Tobias. transforms “Vaporizer” into a different beastly species, formulating jacking rhythms that pop out of the speakers. Finally, as a digital bonus, AMAM mastermind takes it even deeper with mangled chords and dubby squiggles. Get vaporized!

Around this time last year the German producers dropped one of our most popular mixes of 2013, showcasing their trademark style which effortlessly bridges the gap between techno and tech-house.
