Kicking off the first release on 2022 are label heads ‘The Journey’ where they have teamed up with Rachel May. Delving into the deeper side of their repertoire, ‘Hollow’ is extremely musical with a wide variety of elements filling the record throughout. Slowly building in typical “Journey” style with Victorian vocalist ‘Alverie’ perfectly complimenting the instrumental, this groover is a must for open air gatherings this season.

On remix duties is Tristan Case & TAYA. Hailing from Sydney and the Hinterlands in Australia respectively, both producers bring their own flavour to the original On the back of a Number 1 overall release on Beatport and 6 top ten single in the past 12 months, Tristan has already captured the hearts of a lot of listeners with his smooth and spacial production and doesn’t hold back with momentum on his remix.

TAYA on the other hand whose discography is already quite extensive with releases and support from some of the biggest artists in the world, showcases why he is one of the more in demand producers in country with a classy remix that really encapsulate his underground roots. "

Step by step the path is shown, no matter the distance, just walk it and the light will appear. The fifteenth release of Nature comes from the art of the young Cuban producer, DJ, vocalist and percussionist HAVJERS, debuting on the label with a very interesting proposal entitled Mithrandir. The EP, made up of two originals (Mithrandir / Solve) with a progressive aesthetic with fine organic and ethnic touches, plus careful voice work, is complemented by a couple of remixes, the first by label boss Dhany G, and the second produced by Mexican artist Doriaan. With dynamism and an avant-garde spirit, Nature continues to explore new sound passages.

Continuing to add new talent to their roster, Musique de Lune welcomes Molac and Ilias Katelanos to the label for their debut EP. Based in Ecuador and Greece respectively, both Molac and Ilias have carved out a unique sonic identity in the world of electronic music and organic house, resulting in a string of uniquely crafted records that present a resonant worldly sound. The duo's combined discography is highlighted by releases via Akbal Music, Amulanga, Nordic Voyage, Peace Symphonies, Souksonic, Watergate and more, while the genre's trendsetters have been steadfast with support along the way. Now, combining their extensive forces, Molac and Ilias make their much anticipated Musique de Lune debut with 'Rumba del Sud', alongside a remix from JFR.

Selection one ‘Le Rumba’ comes from Molac and surely goes down as one of his best and most memorable tracks to date. Tight and punchy yet smooth and organic, it’s thematic sounds are instantly compelling, playing out over layers of perfectly manicured percussion and shape-shifting harmonies. Coming to full fruition across the main break, it’s a clever co-axing of sax and piano which ultimately makes the interlude so unique, and perfectly sets up a tastefully tweaked out finale. Also included are two remixes of ‘La Rumba’, the first of which comes from Musique de Lune label manager and Anjunadeep artist JFR. The Argentinean talent continues to impress here with a version that is already receiving play from organic tastemaker Sebastien Leger. JFR’s consistently brilliant and fresh approach to melody has been noted by many, and once again shines across this eight-minute journey, but it’s a radical revamp of the low-end which also adds to it’s brilliance, making for a monumentally funky ride, while clever vocal edits and a carnival-inspired second act put a stamp on this sure fire dance floor bomb. Meanwhile, Ilias Katelanos also provides his own take on ‘La Rumba’, opting for more of a spacious feel without losing those distinctive musical motifs and also adding in more of an evolving panoramic mood throughout.

The second and final original ‘Sud’ finds Ilias delivering an equally inspired slice of organic house. The Greek artist continues his stylized ways with fresh percussive arrangements, choir-like overlays and supernatural effects creating a colourful path into the main break. Sitting comfortably in a musically inspired space, the Mediterranean-style theme breathes beautifully across the interlude, eventually breaking off into a smooth, vocal infused drop and charming, groove-centric finale. Rounding out the release with the lone interpretation of ‘Sud’ is Molac who comes correct with a concise rendition that makes great use of the original theme, while adding his own brand of quirky effects and swing heavy rhythms that should fare well on even the most astute dancefloors. Highly recommended.

With clean vocal chops, a crisp and snappy groove, "Somerville" is able to capture a special vibe, that feels organic & poppy. A characterful and rough bassline blasts through the energetic percussions and takes over the lead, while short vocal snippets tame the low end and bring a beautiful balance, which creates this soothing affair. With texture and a wonderful craft by Timo, the track captures a vibe, that is both danceable and suited for countless listens at home. 

We always try to capture a certain balance with our releases and "Somerville" might have just created a perfect reference for us.

Last November when hot sweaty clubs were a thing, I played along side @BookaShade at London's E1. Their album Movements, released on Get Physical back in 2006 was/still is genius and something I return to regularly for inspiration, so to share a night with them was special.

We had an amusing pre gig dinner - It was great to have a moment to actually sit down, talk and get to know the guys a little. A few weeks later Arno kindly asked if I’d be interested in remixing ‘Polar Lights’ from their new album. I’ve discussed my approach to remixing before, one of the main points being I don’t jump on them lightly however, their track was ripe for reworking - first off it wasn’t already a dance track with a 4/4 groove - it was more of a down tempo vibe and most important, due to the great performance of @joplynberlin I could hear the vocal working a treat.

2019 was winding down and we were approaching our first Christmas with Huxley so decided to wait till the new year to start work on the mix so i could give it my full attention, so ended up starting in early February after arriving in Ibiza… then old Covid-19 decided to rocked up! What then unfolded was a month tucked up away at the top of the valley, diving in and out of the project, experimenting with the original parts of the song i'd been given, searching for the little moments that would then become the final piece. There were a couple times when I needed a proper environment to get to grips with the sonics of the mix. This meant a few covert missions to a studio near by - if caught by the Ibizan police it wouldn’t have gone down well... anyhow… we got there in the end and really happy that its out now in the ether.
