Jean-Michel Jarre & Rone - Heart Of Noise (Pandhora Remix)

"A two-headed dragon" operating out of the United Arab Emirates capital, Abu Dhabi residents, Alex and Andrew, have created a reputation of mythical proportion through their Lanvary production guise. Now returning to Particles, the duo take flight with the "Penumbra" EP on Particles.

Combining "two different musical perspectives", the Lanvary experiment has proved a considerable success. With over a century of production credits to their name, the duo have hit upon a formula that has seen their work reach a variety of high profile labels since 2010's debut for Underphunk Recordings as the "Airtight" EP on the celebrated Mistique Digital then began a welcome trend for a plethora of original material to find its way onto Stellar Fountain, PHW Elements and Silk Music. With their work supported by Gai Barone, Matan Caspi and Kash Trivedi, Lanvary have garnered the appreciation of fans and peers alike.

A quartet of original tracks split across two EPs has formed the backbone of Lanvary's contribution to the Particles catalogue. October 2015 saw the release of the landmark "Micromegas" EP, while "Slingshot Ride" followed in early 2016. With remixes from Matter and Subandrio following in April, "Mircomegas" continues to derive considerable success. Now adding to that success, a third original EP is a very welcome addition to the Particles autumn schedule through "Penumbra".

Opening the EP, "Manticore" is a throbbing, pulsating affair that bounces effortlessly along its near eight-minute journey with grooved bass line and ticking percussive cadence. A white noise shaker and open hat combination enhances the rhythm section further as the hypnotic collage forges a relentless path. Synth lines rise and fall in the upper frequencies, reaching a tension-filled crescendo at the mid-point before dropping back into a sumptuous dance floor filler in the second part.

The title track continues Lanvary's penchant for "deep and groovy dishes" as a wonderfully evocative bass line makes its presence felt beneath deceptively simple rhythm in "Penumbra". Light melodic touches meander enticingly across proceedings before a loquacious vocal verse from Chris Maroo hits at the breakdown, then recurring in phrases throughout the third and fourth movements.

A stripped back 'Dub Mix' is the final addition to the EP which accentuates the delicious rhythm section and rapid fire hi-hat percussion that makes its mark as "Penumbra" evolves. Furthermore, the stepped melodic sequences of the original are brought fully to the fore in the absence of the strong vocal content of its predecessor, while simple vocal cuts are retained to supply depth and atmosphere in a rich and powerful offering.

As Lanvary step once more into the light, a partial eclipse sees "Penumbra" shine brightly.

Dizharmonia was inspired and influenced by modern sounds of techno and oldschool sounds of progressive music scene to create tracks aromatised by atmospheric and wicked synths and strings, aggressive basslines and tight drums.

Kick-started in 2016, based in Toulouse, South of France, Nagual Research is a deep-house and melodic techno label created by Anthony Godwin aka THe WHite SHadow (FR), which promotes melodic music through several genres.
The evocative and emotional power is what makes this music so passionate.

With his roots in the world of acoustic music, Monolink expertly pairs traditional song writing with a pulsating electronic groove, in a narrative that combines his superb vocals, with cosmic guitars, piano, and powerful synths.

DAVI takes the track further into an oasis of desert tech, teasing and dubbing the vocals over a relentless tribal beat.
