The flip-side starts with "Unter Wasser" which is illustrated by urgent uptempo beats that can push it on the dance floor and dreamy, surreal soundscapes on the other hand that account for that great under water feel. The track sounds a bit like the "Deep End" film soundtrack from CAN in that respect.

Erik Brown, also known as as graphic artist FRISK, unveils the moniker Mural and catapults onto the electronic music stage with his latest creation, the Shake It Up EP, released under the innovative new label New Human Music. Brown, a mainstay in the San Francisco music scene has been dazzling the Bay Area with underground DJ sets since the early 2000s. His unique ability to weave intricate grooves using an arsenal of gear is evident in this latest offering. As he prepares to relocate his studio to Thailand in 2024, his impressive discography continues to expand with this new venture into New Human Music's revolutionary ethos.

The EP, a succinct yet impactful trio of tracks, kicks off with "Shake It Up," a robust house music anthem designed for an energized underground. It's a masterful blend of crisp rhythms, pulsating synthesizers, ethereal string pads, and vibrant vocal stabs that create an irresistible auditory invitation. Following this is "Shake and Dub," a more minimalist dub version of its predecessor. This track strips back the layers to spotlight rhythmic drums, a groove-laden bassline, and '80s-flavored synth tones and effects. And then“Love Will Find A Way” combines Moroder-ized synth patterns with an uplifting vocal hook. Cheema — derived from the Italian "cima" (ˈʧima), as in “cima di rapa,” “cima di cola,” “cima di Bitonto,” etc. — serves as the human instrument that brings the traditions of Puglia to the club, utilizing electronic music as a universal language for cultural sharing. Since 1996, Cheema has been an integral part of the music scene, starting as a DJ, progressing to a producer, and eventually becoming a live performer with advanced sound management technologies.
The acquisition of new live techniques has enabled Cheema to experiment and collaborate with over 60 musicians to date. This exploration has resulted in diverse musical proposals spanning various genres. Cheema extends the voice of Apulia worldwide with care and special attention, finely balancing the elegance of electronics with the rich tradition of local dialects. This delicate equilibrium exists on the spectrum between experimentation and a dancefloor atmosphere.
The debut release of Cheema's new project is titled “Jis Matt,” a deep, Balearic-inspired House track characterized by an almost meditative atmosphere and a touch of disco. Renowned Italian producer 1979, known for his releases on fryhide or Kompakt, has crafted a fantastic chords-driven remix. This remix seamlessly transitions the original track from a laid-back beach scenario to an energetic club setting.

At the request of the CNC (French National Cinema Center) Maxime Dangles has realized for a date series across France a cine-concert on the rare and innovative silent film of 1913 "Le Roman de Carpentier" tribute to the first French boxing world champion.

The result is twelve tracks between ambient, IDM, electronica and Melodic Techno exploring the story from all angles and feelings.

A sound narrative of great finesse, affirming the richness of Maxime Dangles' production work and his ability to draw singular landscapes from which strong emotions emerge, following in the footsteps of Hans Zimmer, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' original soundtracks, while exploring the most experimental side of club music.

Maxime Dangles entered the electronic music scene 15 years ago on the Kompakt label, collecting prestigious remixes (Moby, Green Velvet, Simian Mobile Disco, Kittin & The Hacker...). Reference of the international electronic scene, he’s renowned for his immersive and singular sound design that he shapes with his modular synths. But for the last 4 years, Maxime Dangles has slowed down his club dates to devote himself to this type of creation, to the spatialization of sound, in places such as the SAT in Montreal and to the SONARS arts and sciences project alongside researchers from the CNRS, who took him on board at the heart of their research on the islands of Saint-Pierre and Micquelon.
