Various Cruelties is the musical alias of the prodigiously talented Liam O’Donnell – a teenage Strokes fan with a sweetly soulful voice and a head full of classic soul standards, equally in thrall to the ‘New York cool’ of Richard Hell, Percy Sledge and Orange Juice.
Born in London to a Scottish father and an Irish mother, and a distant relative of Oscar Wilde, O’Donnell moved to Leeds at an early age where he spent his teenage years following the well-trodden ‘indie’ path - summer bank holidays at the Leeds festival and a record collection full of Verve and Stone Roses albums. Yet and early taste for the soul-classics made him realise musically there existed a world beyond. 

Moving to London, it proved a struggle to escape the the ‘singer-songwriter’ tag.  A booking at a Communion night in Brighton proved to be a turning point – realising he had no desire to tread the well-worn ‘troubadour’ path and inspired by recently supporting the Villagers, Liam decided to do what he wanted; ditch performing under his own name and, inspired by an Ed Ruscha exhibition, start working under the Various Cruelties tag.


Isaiah Rashad doesn’t look back. Instead, he never stops moving forward. That’s why the internet has tried so hard to keep up since the Chattanooga, TN-born and Los Angeles-based artist emerged in 2012. After one seismic appearance after another throughout 2013, he formally introduced himself with 2014’s Cilvia Demo. XXL named him among its prestigious “Freshman Class,” while the project earned a rare score of 8.2 from Pitchfork. Just two years later, his full-length debut, The Sun’s Tirade, bowed in the Top 20 of the Billboard Top 200 and closed out 2016 on over a dozen year-end lists, including UPROXX, L.A. Weekly, Inverse, Stereogum, Pop Matters, Pigeons & Planes, Pitchfork, and more. In between sold out shows coast-to-coast and racking up nearly 500 million total streams, he quietly stared down his demons out of the spotlight. By the time he dove back into music, life had changed. The process switched up, so he realigned and linked up with new collaborators such as Kenny Beats. Ready to break a five-year creative silence, he returns with his second full-length album The House Is Burning[Top Dawg Entertainment], including the single “Lay Wit Ya” [feat. Duke Deuce]. Nausea Bomb spread their music in a blend of punk and psychobilly, with ska, oi! , surf music, country, celtic folk influences.
Often inconventional/immoral lyrics, speaking about kicking boring old persons or babies, about pussy vampire, blood fall....but also about unity in the differents movements which built them.

A first EP auto producted in 2014, and a last one "bonechestra", released in 2016 on Crazy love records and Zombies Union.

With their mixte vocals, double bass and energy on stage, they presented them in different european tours, it gave a motivation to go to play as far as possible. Whatever the venue, big stages, litle bars, stinky squats, in the street or catacombs... only do the party togethers matters !

Just coming back from South America, to North Africa in Morocco...then thousands of projects through the world and in studio.

Nausea Bomb répend ses influences musicales depuis 2013, dans un bouillonnant mélange de punk, psychobilly, teinté de surf music, ska, oi!, country...
Avec leur contrebasse, chant mixte, énergie, ils ont rapidement sillonné les routes d'Europe à plusieurs reprises, du Maroc et d'Amérique latine. Leur deuxième album est sorti sur les labels allemands : Crazy Love Records et Zombies Union. Le troisième est en cours !
