This piece is the final result of our latest collaboration. This time we have the pleasure of inviting you to travel through time and space, and perhaps we can cross that boundary together.
   The end of the year is a time to visit each other and travel. So this will be a winter journey, in snow and blizzard. Perhaps during sunset or even at night... Either way, the doors of imagination have been opened!
    We hope to drift together in melancholy reverie towards the new year. Thank you for your time, attention and your ongoing support. Happy New Year!!!

WINTER TRIP - w/Surfers Like Us

*** This extended version was not planned, rather, inspiration called for it, and I felt compelled to revisit this piece. I hope you will enjoy this new version. ***

A requiem for my sister Lisa, and 4th movement of a work I have planned to complete as I have time and inspiration for each part of my outline.

The title comes from my daughter, who heard me as I was playing with the initial melodic idea, and said it sounds like a mourning bird.

This piece is best heard through headphones or quality stereo speakers to hear all the details.

the demon creeping nearer with a ritual knife

scaled the wizard's mountain

that chilled the summer air
and then she waited to die
man, the girl got into motion
and conjured up a potion
and she hid it away
cuz she knew the dude was coming
she couldn't keep running and living this way
she's a mean necromancer
a midnight dancer always getting her way
he's a mean mutilator, a slimy alligator 
come to take you away
crystal balls, enchantments, curses, and portals
damn us all to die or suffer immortal
in her hands the wretched tools for survival:
the commands of dead, unholy revival
man, the girl drank the elixir 
hoping it would fix her
yeah she needed to fight
so she summoned up a skelly
from the depths of hell she cast him out in the night
would the wizard hear him sneakin?
rotten bones a creakin as he entered the lair?
to the girls satisfaction
he fell for the distraction she cast out of thin air
in his claws he held the resurrected
and he saw his final moments reflected
as the girl stood behind the foul wizard
from this world and into hell she delivered

Keith is an old school rocker who loves to belt out throaty vocals and crunch away on guitars.
I just come alongside and wrap a vision of additional parts and produce it all to show off the details in the creative process as best as a modest home-based  musician with a rudimentary DAW can. 
Once in a while, lyrics come along that glue everything together.

So, for 2024, here is our wish: we need a hero! Who do you envision in such a role?  Our parents, our family, our teachers, medical practitioners, scientists, researchers, friends, musicians, politicians who unite (not divide), a religious figure, a community member or volunteer, or perhaps someone who has overcome significant challenges? What makes a leader for the challenges of 2024? Maybe it's you?
*Posthumous dedication to Alexei Navalny who was murdered by Putin - the cost of speaking truth to power.

Recalling some tequila, love words and more with them in that Ibiza bar, I wondered: “What if Pink Floyd met the spirit of Camarón de la Isla… in my bedroom?” I used lots of guitars, basses, etc. on a 12/8 beat, to enclose 3/4, 6/4 & 8/8 rhythms along.

"Uranus 51" is the intro track of my album "Kontrollverlust" which will be released on Einmusika Recordings on 20th Nov 2017 and here´s the story behind: 

Every beginning has something specific. When I started working on this track it was a 124 bpm Tech-House idea with this arp in the background. By creating the line I suddenly had some scenes from my childhood in my mind. The melody and the synth-sound is kind of 1980's style, maybe that's the reason (because I grew up this time). Maybe also I have heard this melody on the TV, in the radio or somewhere else before. But you probably know exactly what I mean when you see, hear or smell something familiar and you feel beamed back a decades ago.

Later I slowed down the track which is on 96 bpm now. No beats, just some off/mood stuff. Hope you enjoy it!

Many transmissions end up as lost frequency waves floating through space.  The Voyager space probe famously had a piece of vinyl attached to it with sounds from the Earth. While it is unlikely this will ever get played due to the fact that Alien life forms are notorious for using lossless digital files such as FLAC or WAV files, there is something comforting about a piece of vinyl hurtling through space at hundreds of thousands of miles an hour, awaiting an extra terrestrial crate digger to whip it up on an intersteller version of discogs to play at a low key function somewhere in the star system of Alpha Centuri... 
A perfect tune to mix it with would be the Richard Bone remix of Saiyuji (Dawn) Remixed to perfection by Daniele Baldelli and Marco Dionigi.  This is textbook cosmic disco/balearic which comes straight out of the stars.
It recreates the feeling that any human would get staring at the sunrise and that is something which would be difficult to convey with words or language or diagrams. This is a universal statement on how humans feel.
This is the Dawn.
