How suiting, for the challenge most feared in the VPC.  You have a wide open field here and can choose to rap about anything that entices fear, discomfort, trepidation.  It can be a phobia that you have, it can be a situation you have experienced.  The song does not have to be about the fear of that object or situation, it can simply be about it if you’d like.  Hate spiders?  You can write a song about spiders without having to write about your fear of them.  We just want you to embrace that uncomfortableness or fear.

Overall Theme:  Showing Off

That’s right, your song can be about anything you want.  You can collab as many guest vocalists* as you want.  The only thing we ask is:  MAKE THE COLLABS COUNT.  Make sure your track is still around a unified subject matter, and then GO WILD.  Vocalists, bring your best.  Producers, show off what you are capable of.  Incorporate a non-traditional instrument into your beat.  We want to see Sitars, Theremins, Hurdy-Gurdies, Panpipes, Accordions, Recorders…  Anything that’s not traditionally found in hip hop. We expect this track to pull out all the stops.

Devon "8th-Light" Bennett is American artist, poet, producer, engineer ,entrepreneur , MC. He was Born on August 9, 1987 in San Antonio, Texas. His father Abe Bennett(Nephew of Late JLP Representative Enid Bennett) , A Jamaican immigrant from Linstead, Jamaica ; passed away on January 22, 1988. Raised by a single mother, his older sister, and grandmother; He is the 2nd oldest out of 5 kids.  When he graduated high school in 2005, He discovered his girlfriend at the time(now ex-wife)
was pregnant with his son. At 18 yrs old he decided to marry the mother of his son, in hopes of providing a stable environment. Realizing the priority of wanting to make his passion of music a career, He sacrificed his marriage and family.  In 2009 He studied audio engineering at the Institute of Audio Research in NY. After 4 years of living in New York City, He returned to San Antonio. Working at guitar center and Bjorns, In 2019 He quit his Job and started GLUE Media Group LLC. The rest is the future.
