First and foremost, Inside Out Music was born out of a genuine passion for progressive rock and metal. From the very beginning our goal has been to use all of our resources and experience to find and acquire the very finest new progressive music in the world - and - in turn - to present it back to the world in a meaningful way. Quite simply, we are dedicated to developing progressive music as a genre by developing the best acts that the genre has to offer. 

Jack is Dead re-arranged their 2nd album and some new tracks with a traditionnal iranian orchestra. Swiss-iranian singer-guitarist/leader Yves-Ali Zahno travelled beginning 2011 in Tehran to work with Peyman one of the youngest and famous iranian arranger. They recorded there in the studio with the most talented traditionnal musicians the new re-arranged songs of Jack is Dead's last album "Major Changes With Miniatures". The project kept growing successfully. A few months later, it was presented live on stage in Switzerland ( Festival de la Cité, Festival de la Bâtie, Théâtre de L'Echandole 2011) with their fellow iranian musicians, a string quartet and the basic Jack is Dead trio...A DVD live @ Paleo Festival Nyon 2012 is on its way, taking the very best moments of this fabulous human and musical journey in Switzerland and in Iran.

Le trio rock lausannois Jack is Dead par la voix de son chanteur helvetico-iranien Yves-Ali Zahno, réarrange les titres de son dernier album avec un orchestre traditionnel iranien. Début 2011, Yves-Ali Zahno part à Téhéran, en studio, pour réarranger l'album "Major Changes with Miniatures" avec l'un des plus jeune et talentueux arrangeur du pays, Peyman (a travaillé notamment pour le grand Shajarian) et la fine fleur des musiciens de Téhéran.
L’idée de cette rencontre est un projet de longue date qui tient de l’origine du chanteur Yves-Ali Zahno. L’Iran est plus qu’une moitié génétique. Avec une maman iranienne au foyer, depuis tout petit c’est la langue, le chant, la cuisine, les fêtes, la danse, la culture ancestrale des poètes, des artisans, l’odeur de la laine des tapis et la grande famille de Téhéran visitée chaque été qui se vit.
Depuis son enfance l’Iran lui parle et parfois elle rit et parfois elle pleure aussi comme durant les guerres. La guerre Iran-Irak ou La «Révolution Verte» en 2009 lors des dernières élections controversées qui ont déclenché le projet. Et paradoxalement l’envie de vivre à nouveau cet héritage culturel mais cette fois remis dans son contexte social et
politique. De poser un nouveau regard sur l’une des cultures les plus influentes du Moyen-Orient en permanente contradiction depuis la révolution islamique, entre sa jeune société pleine d’idéaux et une théocratie de censure. L’envie ausi de réunir la tradition et la jeunesse urbaine iraniennes dans un projet commun.
Car contrairement aux idées reçues et c’est là peut-être le seul point commun entre ces deux extrêmes, les iraniens sont très attachés à leur histoire culturelle, en particulier à leur patrimoine musical traditionnel.
Ce projet est né pour prouver une fois de plus que la musique se moque des frontières, que la musique ne sert pas la cause politique mais humaine, que la musique est amour.
Et le titre de l’album de le rappeler en jeu de mots, «Major Changes With Miniatures». 
De petits bouleversements naissent les grands changements.
Une rencontre humaine, globale, qui naturellement fait ressurgir quelques émotions perdues.



Blues guitar phenom Eric Gales was born and raised in Memphis, learning to play at age four from older brothers Eugene and Manuel in imitation of their upside-down, left-handed style. Winning his first blues contest at 11, four years later Eric signed to Elektra to issue his 1991 debut LP, recorded with Eugene on bass. Manuel (who previously performed under the alias Little Jimmy King) reunited with his siblings for 1995's Left Hand Brand, credited to the Gales Brothers. A newly matured Gales returned in the new millenium to start his solo career. With Mike Varney and his label Shrapnel Records Eric has found a home among some of the best guitar players in the world.
